You should check the coil mattress cover. Feel around to make sure nothing is puncturing the bladder. It is not normal for them to fail like that. When you deflate it, you must make sure all of the air is out of the bladder before folding the unit back into the sofa. If you don't, you make end up with a problem at the seams.

When you bought your air mattress you will have most likely received a patch kit. If not, you can purchase one at most stores selling mattresses/camping gear. Simply follow the instructions on the patch kit - make sure to cut a patch slightly larger than the size of the hole. Allow 24 for the glue to dry before re-inflating your air mattress.

Yes you can. Most air mattresses are designed for outdoor use. I would suggest placing the mattress on a tarp while sleeping to avoid puncture holes from twigs and stones on the ground.

How do you deflate the northwest territory queen size air bed

I was confused by this too. Here's the trick:

When you inflate the mattress, you unscrew the square-shaped plastic cap, like this:

But this is *not* the cap you unscrew to deflate it!

To deflate it, you have to unscrew the plastic at the *round* part that's beneath the square cape -- i.e. the part of the plastic that's affixed directly to the mattress. When you unscrew the round part, the entire plastic apparatus detaches from the mattress, leaving a big open round hole where the air rushes out.

Hi rh57...

I will recommend that you use some contact cement, and a piece of thin plastic like a plastic drop cloth, shower curtain, etc.
Cut the plastic piece that will be using as your patch about 1" X 1" square.
Locate the hole in the air mattress, deflate air mattress, apply contact cement lightly to the air mattress approximatly 1" X 1" and the piece of thin plastic material you will be using as the patch over both entire surfaces of the patch and mattress...let it all dry about 20 mins.
After it is dry then apply the patch to the hole in the mattress, apply a weight to the top of the patch, let sit about half an hour and you are done

Almost new air mattress has a hole in seam. No

contact local vehicle trailer repair garage.they will probably have rubberised repair patches that they use on curtain sided trailers.it should do the job.

Purchased at Walmart. Brand: Intex Queen 13" DuraBeam Comfort Plush mid-rise Airbed Mattress.

Return it to Walmart. It can also be patched using a patch kit for a bike inner tube. I see where someone else also commented on how to patch it..
