Lay a business card or other straightedge across the bottom plate and see how much of the bristle sticks out past the bottom plate. If the bristles are worn or not sticking out past the bottom plate replace it. Replace the belt if it's over 1 year old.
If the vacuum is weak, it may not be the brush. Bag and filters need to be clean and empty. No obstruction in the vacuum system. Motor running at full speed. etc etc.

if you have an extension wand, the replacement will cost about $100.00. there is a way to repair both the pwr-cord on the brush assemble and the wand, but it depends on how much damage there is. also you need to check the contacts where the wand connects with the handle,and the prongs on the handle.

u might need 2 change the belt on the attachement there r 2 screws on top take em out after u take off cover there is a plastic cover over the belt take off c if the belt broke the rest is easy

On the belt end, there is a clip #59 to remove then you can take the brush roll apart, replace the brush strips and put it back together.
