SOURCE: Double oven / convection not working
It is likely that the convection element is burned out and needs to be replaced. If all other functions are working then this is the place to start. Teh back panel inside of the oven can be removed by removing the 4 visible philips screws on it. The element should look smooth and round, if not then it needs to be replaced. Be sure to turn power off to the oven before replacing it. Remove the screws that fasten the element to the back wall and gently pull the element away from the wall an inch or so. the wires will be exposed and can be unclipped from the element do not let them fall inside of the back of the oven or you will have to remove the oven from the wall to get at the back panel. Install the new element in the reverse procedure. If the element looks good then it will have to be tested with a multimeter to verify that it is still good before proceeding to check the selector switch for burn marks.
SOURCE: mabe oven
Hi, well i have researched the mabe oven problem and it turns out that mabe used to make a 110V oven bake element for the ovens made in Mexico. However it appears that they no longer make that model oven and it's parts. Isn't that just golly gee terriffic!I am still searching for an element for it as GE who is also a share holder about 42% worth also has parts that sometimes will fit the Mabe made in Mexico, and not to be left out of the programe Camco is also part of the GE Mabe family so they are also a source to check with, and yes even whirlpool who is nothing to do with any of those other than a competitor sometimes has parts that will fit the Mabe made in Mexico. I'm not saying it will be a perfect fit but if it works, it works, but i'm not recomending you do it to a customers appliance at least not without asking if it's ok.
SOURCE: Oven bakes unevenly and burns food
Jenn Aire oven is about 5 to 7 % cooler than electronic temperature setting. How may this be re-calibrated?
SOURCE: Nu-Vu oven will not reach bakeing tempature?
HELLO IM A OVEN TECH AND SEEMS THAT YOU MAY HAVE A FAULTY ELEMENT DEPENDING ON THE MODEL YOU MAY HAVE TWOO ELEMENTS ,ONE IS GONE ,
SOURCE: gas oven won't light on bake setting
If the bake ignitor comes on (starts glowing) - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. If the ignitor is a round style - amperage should be 2.5-3A, if the ignitor is rectangular - 3 - 3.6A. If less
than 2.5A or 3A respectively - replace ignitor. If the ignitor does not come on - check the voltage on the ignitor, should be the line voltage 110-120v AC. Faulty gas valve is uncommon, but still a
small possibility. Ignitor part numbers for round style ones: 4342528, WB2X9154, SGR403, 5304401265;
rectangular styles: 12400035, WB13K21, WB2X9998, SGR412, NR020, 5303935066, 814269, 9753108.
Ignitors of the same shape (i.e. rectangular) are interchangeable, if you can splice the wires.
PS For your model number the original part number was WB13K4 or WB13K0004, which is a round ignitor, though on the breakdown a rectangular one is shown, so check carefully.
Good luck!
