HTC 830 Camera required - HTC Cell Phones

Your beloved Bernina 830 Record needs a good cleaning and oiling. The old oil has solidified and is beginning to seize the machine. Continued use may burn out the motor. No, the A1-830 doesn't support MHL (micro-USB to HDMI). So the micro-USB to HDMI adapter will not work. The tablet's USB port will only support connecting to the charger or a PC's USB port. Here's a list of known MHL devices: http://www.mhlconsortium.org/devices.aspx . The previous model (A1-810) had a micro-HDMI port that could connect to a TV's HDMI port with the appropriate cable. You might be able to use the AllCast app and a Roku or FireTV box. You will need to upgrade to the Premium version for any files longer than 5 minutes.

The other way to mirror content from the Iconia A1-830 would be to transfer it to your computer. Then send the file to the TV via Plex or SmartShare depending on the file and your TV. If you can upgrade the tablet to Android 4.4.2 or higher, then a ChromeCast will let you mirror content directly from the Iconia A1-830. This will require steps that can make the tablet unusable (research rooting an Android device).

I wish that I had better news for you. Unfortunately, even if you have a TV with a USB port, it probably will not access the files on the tablet. (Many only support FAT32 or NTSC file systems.)

and there are loads of other Bernina data elsewhere on that site. You will need to deal with the fact that it is written in German but in using it, I haven't found that to be too problematic (and no I do not speak German).

Press and hold Call/Cut buttons(green/red) and soft-reset with the stylus. Keep holding the Call/Cut buttons till you get a message on screen saying "This will erase all your personal data" message on screen. Then press 'action' (enter button) to hard reset.

And to enter the bootloader: (Required sometimes while flashing ROMs)

Hold down the camera button and reset device with the stylus. Keep holding the camera button until you see 'tricolor' bootloader screen.

You do have a one year factory warranty from date of purchase - suggestion is to send it in for evaluation as it could be a problem with the chip inside the camera that controls image processing. It sounds like that chip may need to be replaced. You can call Olympus Customer Service at 800-622-6372 option 2 and then option 3 to discuss the repair process with them.
