SOURCE: Hitachi Cordless Impact Driver gearing problem

Hi there,

The speed shift slider switch wasn't lined up correctly when the unit was reassembled.

Unfortunately, you going to need to repeat the disassemble/reassemble process once more.

I've been there. It doesn't take much to be out of alignment. Set everything to the lowest setting (clutch, speed) and take your time.

Best regards
Mike

SOURCE: Panasonic EY7540 impact driver. Does not go into reverse on 1st

EY7540 14.4 volts. Both batteries were fully charged. Operating the driver in various positions would result in the Red battery charge and temp. light coming on and the operation of the driver would die. Pointing the driver up, it was OK. Pointing it down it failed. All connections and solder joints were checked. All joints in the battery cct board were checked. By the way I am an electronic technician. Any ideas?

SOURCE: my dc825ka dewalt impact drive will turn forward

Sounds like a problem in the Mechanism assembly. You have the option to attempt to fix it yourself or contact DeWalt and take it to a Local Service Center, you can find your local service branch at www.dewaltservicenet.com. From this website you can also order parts. Here is an exploded view and parts list of your tool. http://www.dewaltservicenet.com/Products/DocumentView.aspx?productid=70578&typeId=16779&documentId=36008
Hope this information is helpful to you, if so, please rate me. Thank you.

My impact driver when in reverse works fine but when in forward it will work for a few seconds then stop and keeps doing that. why?

I'd be looking for a defective forward/reverse switch, or a bad connection/wire on the forward side between the switch and the motor.

My makita 6914D impact drill works fine when it will start. Sometimes when I pull the trigger nothing happens on either forward or reverse. When I change batteries it may or may not work . I checke

It could be your brushes are worn down and not fully contacting the armature. If they are very short and the armature comutator looks burnt, you need part number CB424 to replace your brushes. Most likely your problem is the switch. Sometimes the contacts in the switch get dirty or burnt and if you move the switch just right, a clean contact may be made but usually it won't work. The switch is part number 651939-6. Both are available on sites like www.ereplacementparts.com.

Replace reverse valve ir 2135

YOU NEED TO COMPLETELY DISASSEMBLE THE WHOLE TOOL.
START BY REMOVING THE 4 MOTOR HOUSING SCREWS, SLIDE THE HAMMER CASE, HAMMER ASSEMBLY AND MOTOR ASSEMBLY FROM THE MOTOR HOUSING.
THE REVERSE VALVE WILL BE VISIBLE NOTE THE ORIENTATION ON THE AIR OPENING IT LOOKS LIKE A HALF MOON, THE VALVE WITH EITHER BUTTON PRESSED IN SHOULD AT A 45 DEGREE ANGLE.
NEXT YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE INLET BUSHING ASSEMBLY THAT IS HELD IN BY A CLIP THE IS VISIBLE THROUGH 2 SLOTS LOCATED ON THE LOWER SIDES OF THE GRIP, THEY NEED TO BE PRESSED IN TO SLIDE THE INLET BUSHING OUT THE BOTTOM OF THE TOOL. THERE IS A SPECIAL TOOL THAT SIMULTANEOUSLY PRESSES BOTH SIDES OF THE CLIP BUT CAN BE SUBSTITUTED WITH 2 SMALL FLAT HEAD SCREWDRIVERS.
ONCE THE INLET IS REMOVED, THE TRIGGER CAN SLIDE OUT THE FRONT OF THE TOOL
NEXT USE A SMALL FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVER TO PRY THE REVERSE BUTTON OUT OF THE HOUSING, INSERT THE SCREW DRIVER INSIDE THE INNER EDGE TO PRY OUT,
ROTATE THE VALVE 45 DEGREES IN THE OTHER DIRECTION TO REMOVE THE SECOND BUTTON.
NEXT PUSH DOWN ON THE REVERSE VALVE IT WILL COME OUT THE BOTTOM.

Impact wrench will not reverse

Hi sureputtcup...

Try this solution:
Spray some WD40 into the air intake of the impact wrench and then hook up your air hose to the wrench...run it a few seconds in forward....then after running in forwards for a few times, disconnect the wrench again, and again spray a small amount of WD40 into the air intake of the wrench...again run in forward...after running in forward again, then try to reverse the rotation...turn to reverse..
This will sometimes free up the vanes and sticky parts and allow the wrench to work properly.
If this does not work then you will need to disassemble the wrench and clean and oil and reassemble.
Please take time to rate me 4 thumbs up

Have a problem with Hitachi WR22SA Impact Wrench Rotates in the forward (on) direction but not in reverse (off) Can you tell me what is the likely problem?

Please try to locate the forward/reverse push button switch. Please try also referring to your users guide. Forward/reverse has a different or separate switch. Thanks for asking.

Panasonic EY7540 impact driver. Does not go into reverse on 1st

The forward/ reverse switch is hanging up and the rotation of the drill is switching it, then it changes direction. The switch needs a little TLC and a good cleaning. Blow it out.
