Hi,
I had Nikon a year ago and also had tech problems with it. Why don`t you simply buy anything else? Nowadays, binoculars are very cool, I have to say. Take a look at the one from Smart HD Binoculars for example. It offers some great features for nice price indeed. Maybe you will like it too and get one for you

SOURCE: Nikon Replacement Eyecups

What an excellent glass you have. Nikon in your country should have a service center. I have had them get me a replacement set for a 7x50IF SP WP which is not a common model. They emailed me an order form and I emailed it back. They were not in stock so it takes about 6 to 8 weeks. May I suggest you order a back up set when you do.
If they aren't too helpful (they needed a shove) try Binoculars.com or Adorama Camera in new York. They will also ship internationally.

I need a set of eyecups for the Empire model 214 binoculars. Mine are cracked/deteriorating.

Did you ever find a replacement pair of eye cups? I'm having the same problem.

I can't focus the binos anymore looking through both lenses at the same time, it's distorted

You have asked about what is one of the most common binocular problems. I hope that you don't mind if I paste my generic answer below as there's no point in reinventing the wheel. If the answer does not provide a solution then please state your exact Nikon Action model and add any extra details which may help.

Your binoculars either have a bent or broken yoke assembly (the bit which carries the eyepieces) or one or more prisms have came unseated.

The first repair involves replacing the entire yoke assembly: the part is expensive in comparison to the retail cost of a new pair of binoculars and with labour charges on top is not usually a cost-effective repair except on really high end expensive models and you can buy a brand new pair of Nikon Action binoculars for less than GBP£90.

The second repair is straightforward and fairly quick for anyone with the right collimation equipment, but the screw(s) need to be secured with thread-locking liquid afterwards.

I hope you manage to use this information to fix your binoculars or at least that it assists you to choose your next course of action. Please take a moment to rate the free answer I have provided for you and any testimonial which you might wish to add is always welcome!

I have a pair of Monarch 10 x 42 binoculars with a cracked eyecup. It is an easy fix, so all I need is the part. Can I purchase the part without having to send my binoculars to a repair facility?

Send them back to Nikon. The first pair i had did it twice, then they sent me a brand new pair. Here a year later with new pair the eyecup pieces that turn in and out already have cracks in them again.

Nikon compact binocular 25 years old. The hinge

Does this pair have two parallel tubes with a bridge in between?
If it does, then removing the caps at the eyepiece end of each hinge will reveal a grub screw. Tightening these will add tension to the hinge and give you the proper feel once more.

Need rubber eye cups for Jason Empire 20/20 model 244

Add-on eye cups are available from any telescope/binocular dealer. You should be able to get pair from them. Some camera stores carry them as well.
