I tried loosening the chain, and then the airpiston thing would not move at all, and would not flush whatsoever. So i tried shortening the chain connection and the situation got better. I went from (-2 links) to (-4 links) and really seems to clear up the issue.
Smart-a$$ answer is to find an old 3 gallon pot in a salvage place. Best answer is to fiddle with the chain that goes from the handle to the flush flapper and see if adjusting its length makes a difference. If it's too short it might result in letting the flapper closing too soon and allowing your deposit to remain.

Does it leak from the overflow? If so then the washer at the top of the Fluidmaster needs to be replaced. If it is not going over the overflow then you will need to replace the flapper on the flush valve.

low water in the bowl is only caused by the float being to high! the gurgles is Usually because of air coming back up through the pipe, check your vent pipe that come out the roof. this will help the draining.
