I’m repairing a older Taylor Y152-12 machine it’s a older model but has served us well. It’s a H model, R502. The compressor does not want to stop. It keeps freezing.

SOURCE: Taylor 8756 ice cream machine clogs at face

First check your blades if they are worn out the machine will ice up in chamber and the unit will have a hard time dispensing. Then if blades ok check your mix is it plenty or lacking sometimes customers wait to sell all ice cream not reallizing that this will affect product qualityand unit will freeze up too much giving you problems.

Why would a Taylor C713 be making darker and icier soft serve than normal?

I generally see this happen when the air to mix ratio is off. This generally happens overnight when the machine is in standby someone forgets to flip the feed tubes so that no more product is drawn into the freezing cylinder.

Your viscosity could also be set too low.

Does the taylor model 8756 put out a substantial amount more product than the 754?

Absolutely! The Taylor 754 and Taylor 794's are capable of 284 3 1/2oz. servings per side / per hour. The 8756 is capable of 426 of the same 3.5oz. servings. The 8756 packs more air into the product making it easier to freeze and reducing recovery time.

Compressor hpco

Compressor hpco or (High Pressure Cut Out) means the high side pressure has went over the limit the machine has been set too. The safety is there to protect the compressor. If the machine is water cooled, the water flow has most likely been interrupted. So often the machine was moved for cleaning and the wheel is on the water hose. If the machine is air cooled, Either 1. the fan has stopped, 2. the condensers are dirty or 3. It's just too hot where you are trying to run the machine.
