"I replaced the battery, but still got the same message. My wife noticed that one of the feet on the bottom of the scale was loose. The feet are twisted on to the scale and held by two small flanges. When I gently pulled the loose foot away I noticed that a small black wire had broke. I used my fingernails to remove a small bit of the wiring cover and twisted the ends back together. I then hide the wires back in a recessed area on the foot and placed it back on the scale. Worked just like the day I got it. Hope this helps!

You didn't mention brand name or model number, so not sure about your specific case. However, on my scale, there is a switch or button near the battery compartment. It allows you to change the measurement between stones, pounds and kilograms.

Hi dogwalk564,
Make sure of the following:
Be sure to place the luggage in the dead center of the scale, this will distribute weight evenly across the scale, also try to keep it on a level floor, any slight incline or decline to a side of the scale, will give you a bad reading.
How do you know the scale is incorrect, how do you reference it to the current reading?
Kind Regards
