My Exerpeutic TF1000 treadmill shows a E2 error, motor will not start.

see this steps and fix it.God bless you
This is probably a 1( faulty speed sensor, adjust it , clean it and tigh the plug very well see the diagram attached. 2( test the input voltage motor, if there are the motor need repair 3( test the output voltage board, for input voltage motor, if there are NOT the board is faulty see the block diagram . The error codes will differ between makes and models but could be e1. or e2
Run the software calibration for easy diagnostic, troubleshooting, and fix it.
God bless you

E2 Code on Treadmill after starting

This is a speed sensor error. Unplug the unit then remove the motor shroud locate the power board with LED lights plug in unit locate the 5v DC if this is on then replace the speed sensor. The sensor is located on the frame by the front roller pulley or on the Drive Motor itself. I have a v-fit kik-036-11 and keep getting e-1

Your problem might be a magnet that has fallen off from within the treadmill. Here's an illustrated guide that should make fixing it easy: http://fixmytreadmill.blogspot.com/2010/10/how-to-fix-treadmill-e1-error.html

Good luck.

The treadmill starts then after a few seconds it stops and a code L5 or LS comes up. the model is a york fitness z16

More likely LS= Loss Signal open the motor shroud on the motor their should be a cylindrical shape sensor (magnetic). Plug in treadmill and on the motor control board their should be a L E D (red or amber) by manually rotating the motor you should see that light flicker if it does sensor is good if not replace sensor. Next thing if sensor is good check motor brushes to see if they are mis-align or worn if worn less than 3/8" in length replace them

I have a error reading of l5 or ls not too sure york fitness z16

Hi,

The L5 message means that there is a problem with the speed setting switches. Some models have one set of speed adjusting stitches on the handlebar and another set on the console. One of them is defective and is causing the problem.

Error 7 is a Safety Key Error..
that's the red magnetic circular thingy on the console.
Simply secure the safety key in place and try it again
