    Hey, it seems that you just need to change your watches to something of a better quality. I've been using the same watches for a year and never had a problem. Check this article that covers what is the
    best triathlon watch and choose for yourself something in your price range and don't torment yourself with all these repairs. I know very well how hard it is, because not everyone has the time to go to a repair a couple of times per year.

Timex Ironman Run Trainer 1.0 won't charge
Just fixed mine. While plugged in, depress all the buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. It should turn on and show that it is charging. The ticking will stop as well.

There is no display on the watch at all, like the battery is dead but it is less than a year old. Is there some combination of buttons to push?
mcdevito75 here, Sorry, but a watch battery that is less than 1 year old can still be weak or dead, You have to try a new battery first. Battery could have gotton loose, or have dirty contacts. Look for a small watch repair shop in your area. It"s possible you shut the watch off also, Press and hold the MODE button 2-3 seconds see if the display comes back.

It could have 2 batteries! 1.5 volt for analog and lithium for digital! Take it to a reputable watch repair business and let them check! :-)

Eliminate half moon from dial of a Timex Ironman Triathlon watch
You need to hold down the Indiglo button for 4 seconds. The half moon means that night mode is activated, and it will tuirn itself off in 8 hours (which I'm sure you know by know, seeing how it's been 5 years).
