Try cleaning the tip of the wire that is near the flame nozzle...that is the heat sensor (thermocouple) which waits to get hot before it allows the gas to flow to the nozzle (safety measures) without the need for anyone to hold in the knob.If the wire is dirty or two short the gas will just stop once you release the knob.

You need to replace the Thermocouple. (pilot safety device) It would be best to call a Technician about this.

SOURCE: flame goes out

the most common problem is the flame sensor located just behind the fire chamber, about two inches long in a round rubber boot with two wires. you can get one from mr. heater for about 3 bucks. the wires are a different color but all you have to do is splice them to your old wires. it doesn't matter how you connect them.

Belling gas oven will only work when holding in ignition

The oven piot light heats a sensor which keeps the pilot light burning after releasing the button. The pilot light flame must be sensed by the sensor, the sensor must be in working condition. Replace the sensor or make necessary adjustments to make the pilot light flame burn on the sensor. The sensor is either a thermocouple or a generator. Thermocouple is standard, a generator needs to be properly matched with its type rated in millivolts, same rating for the replacement.

Totai heater wont stay on after lit

Without a pilot flame sensor signal the pilot light will not stay on and the heater won't work. Try Replacing the pilot flame sensor, the pilot flame burns on to it and it connects to the valve. It looks like a wire.

Have a Belling GT755 and when I press the knob for the oven it ignites, but then when I release the knob the gas/flame goes out. I am having to keep the knob pressed in with a mop head or adjustable...

The oven has a flame detection installed that makes sure the gas turns off if the flame goes out. There are two component that do this. One is the flame detector and the other is the control device that turns the gas off,. Either one of these cold be faulty. The cheapest way is probably to replace the detector in the oven and if that does not work, replace the gas control device.

When i ignite the oven and let go of it the gas goes out all the time..

Hi

It's usually down to carbon clogging the pilot light. This typically happens where gas is on a meter like we have. Everytime the gas runs out, dust and other particles get sucked along into the nozzle where the pilot light is.

The best solution is to try cleaning it. I'd recommend trying to run the vacuum cleaner nozzle over it if you can (with it turned off of course) and perhaps even try cleaning it with a toothbrush (preferably an old one of course as nothing tastes worse than soot) and if this fails, let me know.

Good luck!
