SOURCE: Ronco Popeil Pasta Maker Problems

After using the Ronco Pasta maker for a few times I discovered a couple of problems, the main problems are that it's a bit slow, took as much time as it does for handmade pasta.
The second problems was that cleaning the dies was a pain!

SOURCE: How do you use the KitchenAid SNFGA Pasta Maker Attachment

If it's gumming up, the dough is too wet and needs to be dried out more by adding flour. The right consistency dough is such that if you tear off a small piece and then tear it in half and squeeze it back together with your fingers it should stick back together but not stay stuck to your fingers. If it stays stuck to your fingers it's too wet and needs more flour. If it is crumbly, it's too dry and needs more water.

CPSC, Creative Technologies Corp. Announce Recall to Replace Lids on Pasta Machines

WASHINGTON, D.C. - In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Creative Technologies Corp. of Brooklyn, N.Y., is voluntarily recalling about 50,000 pasta machines to replace some of their lids. When the safety cutoff switch on the lid does not activate, consumers' fingers can be severely injured if their hand is placed into the mixing bowl.

CPSC and Creative Technologies are aware of 11 incidents of the machine unexpectedly turning on, resulting in nine injuries including cut, crushed and severed fingers.

The lid replacement program involves the Takka Pasta and Dough machine (model X1000), and the Pasta Express machines (models X2000, X3000 and X4000). Only pasta machines that have serial numbers up to 78209 are subject to this replacement program. The model and serial numbers are located on a label on the bottom of the machine. "Pasta Express TM by CTC" or "Takka Pasta and Dough by CTC" is on the front of the machine. The pasta machines are beige or white. Some machines have chrome-plated front panels. Through this voluntary recall, Creative Technologies will provide consumers with a replacement lid.

The machines are sold in cardboard boxes identifying the model of the machine. A photograph of the machine is on the front of the box.

Department stores, mail order catalogs and warehouse clubs nationwide sold the pasta machines from 1999 to present for between $90 and $200.

Consumers should stop using the pasta machines immediately and call IHW, Inc. (formerly Creative Technologies) at (718) 492-8400. The company will help consumers determine whether their pasta machine is subject to this replacement program and, if necessary, will provide a free replacement lid.

Need replacement table clamp for pasta maker

Have you tried going to the manufacturer's website? I have this pasta maker on my website and you might try one of the links. But you will probably have to get a new machine. You could also go to your hardware store. They might have a clamp that you could use. Good luck.

I have a old Pasta Express X-2000 machine. During the extrusion process, it appears that the gears are slipping. It makes a terrible "banging" noise. Any ideas on how to fix it or who would do this type...

Hi, Mike Sorry I can't help you but I found this 12 year old information on the net about certain Pasta Express X-2000. In the event you can't get the machine repaired I've been looking for some of the dies that fit over the extruder.
