Sounds like if this is a heat pump, maybe it tripped out on high pressure. Maybe just unplugging the system may reset the control boards. This maybe due to a dirty filter or dirty evaporator coil.

The problem is the blower motor speed control resistor, it is located near the blower motor in the housing.

SOURCE: Amana PTAC PTC093A35AA won't blow heat

The reset button is located behing a panel on the front of the unit that is labeled Heat Reset. If that label is gone then look around, it is a small hole, small enough for a paper clip to fit through.
That being said, I have 137 of these units in one of my hotels and have not had a single one needing to be reset. You probably are going to need a new control board kit. These can be purchased from Amana. They are $130. Make sure that you have pulled the heater coil out and inspected it first. Also, there was a recall years ago where Amana was supposed to contact and send out new voltage switches. These are the round black things that the Brown heater wires connect to on the upper and lower side of the heating coil. You should also try to replace those if you find the coil in good condition. I have had those resolve heating issues. Most of the heating issues were a result of a bad relay on the control board though.
Please remember to rate this fix.

blower motor resistor is a highly probable cause.. another would be the switch/selector itself.

SOURCE: I'm not getting heat from my unit..

the compressor is controled seperately from the fan, this is done with the thermostat, try turning the thermostat on then of or untill you hear the "click" sound from the thermostat. If the compressor is still not turning on this may be more than you can fix if your not familiar with electrical hvac troubleshoting... more than lilkely the thermostat may be bad, or your compressors starting components are failing...if the compressor is comming on when the unit is turned on you could have a freon leak causing no heat. hope this may help some there is just too much to write on the causes this will give you a start though!!

Amana PTAC PTH093E Fan runs at single speed only regardless of setting-auto/low/high Hot or cool air is coming out so compressor/heat coil is working. Reset unit and replaced fan motor-no change.

I've replaced many Amanda control boards. They have micro relays attached to the board. These relays are about a half inch by 1 inch in size, and control line voltage to the compressor and blower motor, and give up quite often. Its probably the board if its a digital controlled board. If it has manual, turn to select, type knob, it will be in that fan section knob. Hope this helps!

Ptac does not function. Board flashes "Br",

Dear Friend! Er means Powerwas lost or voltage is low.
Do you believe if volt meter shows correct volts, it's perfect? No, even loose contact of neutral, burnt wire, it shows correct volts in that point.
Simple way to check the power is alright or not, just remove the a/c plug and connect any other device like electric racer, table fan, blower or iron box which work same volts as a/c. If other devices work, your power is o.k Or check for loose contact in your electrical wiring. Thanks.

Verify all your components are operating - Compressor? Condenser fan motor? Blower fan motor?
If not check voltage to any that are not operating.
If all components are operating and the coils are clean - the refrigerant level is most likely low.
