I need to find out what someone's direct line is. I have an extension assigned with a mailbox but not sure of the direct line # associated with the extension. How can I find out?

This would depend on if the line is a stand alone line only being assigned to one extension or on a PRI having DID service. Do a Feature *0 and check the line buttons. It will show the line number or target line number. With this information you can check it in one of two ways. If it is a stand alone line and provided a line number, access the line by pressing the line and dialing your cell phone to get the Caller ID information. If it associated with a PRI having DID service, you will have to check the target line information in programming. A system administrator or vendor needs to do this.

CO button light was stuck so to clear it i pressed Prog, then CO button, then 2 (clear) and then enter. Doing this cleared the light but it also cleared the extension associated with it. I have re-added...

What was 2? Extensions are put in with a 1. The 2 is used for internal or speed dial calls (as in 29 plus a number gets you speed dial).

If you assign a digital station that is not in service to a button, you will get a busy light.

I NEED TO FIND SOMEONE EXT.# WHEN THEY CALL ME IT SAYS THERE NAME BUT I NEED TO KNOW THE EXT#

You can either do a button inquiry in each of the extensions to see which extension number is associated with which name. that is done by going to each set and pressing feature *0 then pressing the intercom key. or you can look through set programming to find out.
Programming is done on 7310, 7324 and 7316 type sets.
Enter programming by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow).
The display should now ask for an extension number. Press the list soft key.
It will list the extension number followed by the name for the first extension.
Press the next key for the next extension (bottom right arrow) .
Press the release key when finished

If she has a working phone, she is set up.

If you want a button to see when she is on the phone, and that calls her when pressed.....First you have to find out her extension number, so just have her call your extension....it will be on the display.

Then, when you know the extension number, at your phone, find a blank button.
Press Feature 00.
Press the button you want to set her up on.
press the LEFT intercom, star (*) and her 2 digit extension number.
when finished, press feature 00 again.

Now, pressing the button, will page her phone.

D1232 Panasonic - Removing Long distance restriction

Changing the Class of Service COS of that extension to "1" will allow it to dial anything.
In a TD system, that is a 2-step process, because you have to find where the extenion jack is located in the system.

Go into programming and dial 003. If you press the SP PHONE button, it will step you through all the ports in the system and give you extension numbers. To start 01-1 will be 101 01-2 201 02-1 102 etc. Since you're in a motel, it should be renumbered to match the rooms and if you started with 100 or eliminated 113 your whole plan may be different.

Once you find the jack number for your station, press the HOLD button and dial 601 SP PHONE and the 2 digit jack number from above. You will be looking at your extension COS. Dial 1 STORE and it will turn off that extension's toll restrictions.

Please rate this solution and let me know if you had any problems following this instructions.

KX-T7730 Picking up Problem

You are on the right track but the extension number is not " 0 ". There is an extension number associated with the operator phone just as your phone may be " Extension 101". If you have a display phone have the operator call you and look at your display for her/his extension number then when their phone is ringing, pick up your handset, dial 4 plus the extension number of the operator. Let me know how it works out. .....Mitelmike
