Precor efx 546 version 1 Screen locked up and right bottom screen shows two upside down FF and diagonal lights going across the top and bottom of the main screen. Turning it on and off does nothing.

This is caused by a bad capacitor in the vertical circuit. If you can solder, you may be able to resolve this yourself. If you wish to attempt this repair, please update this and I will provide additional details and instructions.

Press [CLEAR] to erase the screen. If that does not work reset the RAM
Press [2nd][MEM][7:Reset][1:All Ram][2:Reset][ENTER]. Then press [CLEAR].

My Samsung U700 had the same problem (display went back-to-front and colours all reversed and low-res.) It seems to be a problem with the flex cable (the cable between the main phone body and the sliding screen) wearing down and screwing up the data being carried between the display and the phone.
