How to make a template (not line) shortcuts on Casio Classpad fx-CP400?

Hi! The Classpad CP400 provides the possibility to assign arbitrary key press combinations to almost any of the hardware key. The defined key combination can be recalled by pressing [shift] and then a hardware key. My question is how to assign the TEMPLATE shortcuts? I mean I want to assign the power template to a hardware key, but I'm always getting "^(" or "^()" assigned instead of beautiful power notation. When I used Classpad 330 I thought there's no possibility to assign 2D-templates, but when I bought CP400 I found that some of the template shortcuts are predefined by manufacturer! When you press [shift] + [^] you'll get beautiful square root template. [shift] + [/] gives fraction template. So it's possible to do that. Manual and google didn't help me with it. Please help.

I suggest you play with key combinations (Shift + some key) to discover if there is any beautiful template that gets generated by it.

Casio fx-cp400+e won't turn on.Does any one know what is the problem?i changed the batteries but still can't turn it on

Hi,

please double check that you're using rechargeable batteries for your replacements. And if the batteries were branded as casio, then your device might require that specific brand of batteries to work. Sometimes manufacturers do this on purpose to keep customer money out of the hands of 3rd-party competitors.

Otherwise, please hold down the power button until your device comes on.

Thank you.

User guide for calculator class pad 400

Casio lists a Class Pad II (FX-CP400). The manual for this is available on the Casio calculator manuals page: http://support.casio.com/en/manual/manual.php?cid=004 . You'll need to accept the Terms of Use to see the full list of manuals. The direct link to the manual is http://support.casio.com/en/manual/004/ClassPadII_UG_EN.pdf . On Casio's "At a glance" page for this calculator, it is simply called the Class Pad fx-CP400.

I hope this helps.

Can you calculate indefinite integrals on the casio fx-9860G

Unfortunately, the Casio FX-9860 G does not have a Computer Algebra System or CAS. For this reason it can only calculate definte integral over a given interval. The lower and upper limits must be supplied. The result will be a number.
Casio calculators that have a CAS are the Casio ClassPad CP330/ 300Plus/ 330, or the Algebra FX 2.0.

Hi, On the classpad when I enter solve(9=15+6sin(pi x/3)) it returns the answer {x=6.constn(1)-3/2} rather than actually solving. This constn is coming up regularly when solving similar types of...

The calculator did solve the equation and give you the result. But because the function is periodic there is an infinite number of angles that satisfy the equations. That is where the constantn(1) intervenes. constantn(1) is the ClassPad way of signifying an arbitrary integer.
Your solutions are x=-3/2 plus or minus 6 times N, where N is an arbitrary integer.

My word 2003 shortcut keys are not responding ?

Try restoring shortcut keys to their original (default)settings.

Open Winword.

1.On the Tools menu, click Customize.
2.Click Keyboard.
3.In the Save changes in box, click the current document name or template (template: A file or files that contain the structure and tools for shaping such elements as the style and page layout of finished files. For example, Word templates can shape a single document, and FrontPage templates can shape an entire Web site.) that contains the shortcut key (shortcut key: A function key or key combination, such as F5 or CTRL+A, that you use to carry out a menu command. In contrast, an access key is a key combination, such as ALT+F, that moves the focus to a menu, command, or control.) assignments you want to restore.
4.Click Reset All.

Note:- Reset All removes your customized shortcut key assignments and restores the original Microsoft Word shortcut key assignments in the selected template or document.

Hope it will help.

Where is the exponent key on Casio fx-115es calculator?

To raise 10 to an exponent, use the 10^x function (SHIFT log). To raise e to an exponent, use the e^x function (SHIFT ln). To raise an arbitrary value to an exponent, use x^y (just above the sin key). To enter an exponent of ten, use the x10^x key to the right of the decimal point.

My log functions are wrong

Hello,
It would help to know what you are trying to do or at least in what way you answers are wrong. I will do my best to guess right.

Ex: if you enter log(25) it gives you 2*log(5) and if you enter log(5) it echoes the same thing. If that is waht you get, it is easy to fix.
Press the Main icon at the bottom of the screen to open the calculator run screen. Unfold the first Menu to the left of Edit. Press Settings (first submenu) Press the/arrow and select Setup item, then Basic Format. Under Common tab you have the different formats: folder, display, angle, and Advanced. Put a check mark in the box to the left of Decimal Calculation an press Set to save configuration.

The other possibility is that you actived the 2D keyboard which gives you access to the 2d Function templates. You use these to calculate the log in arbitrary bases. Functions on this keyboard have a dark rectangle. If that is the source of your problem, use the stylus to select the mth keyboard.
Hope it helps.

Scientific notation

Hello,
I found a way to show you how to enter it on your calculator. Make sure you are in Math Input Output (MathIO). To effect that press [SHIFT][MODE][1:MathIO]. Calculator clears its screen
Press [SHIFT] then [Fraction template key] the one just below [calc]. I will show an image of the template in a picture below. Then you enter 4.6x85000 in the upper square of the template. Press the [Down Arrow] to move cursor to the lower square and key in 3570x0.0843. Then use [Arrow right] to move cursor to the level of the fraction line and press [=]. Hope it helps.
