SOURCE: My Sunbeam electric blanket controls

Same problem, but now it is ok.  I emailed Sunbeam and was told that if my blanket was not plugged directly into a wall outlet it was not getting enough power and I needed to plug it into a wall outlet taking these steps:
1) Unplug from the surge protector/extension cord 2) Unplug from the blanket 3) Plug back into the blanket 4) Plug into a wall outlet

SOURCE: sunbeam electric blanket flashing ff

Ok folks. I fixed it. I unplugged and then waited and replugged and started at high or 9 and then it went to FF in 60minutes or a couple of minutes. I scratched my head and tried this fix--instead of starting again at 9 or H I started at level 7. That did it. FF most probably indicates excess current, and the H or 9 probably is too high to set. So unplug -repluf-turn on and dial 7 or lower. It should fix it. Or buy a new one.

* **Online retailers:** There are a number of online retailers that sell replacement controllers for Sunbeam electric blankets. A quick search should turn up a few options.
* **Local hardware stores:** Some local hardware stores may also carry replacement controllers for Sunbeam electric blankets. It's worth checking with your local store to see if they have any in stock.

Once you've found a replacement controller, you can either install it yourself or have a professional do it for you. If you're not comfortable installing the controller yourself, you can take your blanket to a qualified electrician or repair shop.

Here are some additional tips for troubleshooting your Sunbeam BL0750 electric blanket:

* Check the power cord to make sure it's plugged in securely.
* Try using a different outlet.
* Check the fuse or circuit breaker to make sure it's not tripped.
* If you've tried all of these things and the blanket still doesn't work, you may need to replace the controller.

I hope this helps!

Fix flashing f2

Unplug it, and wait 15 minutes. Then plug it back in. It should come on L. Let it sit another 15-20 minutes. You should be able to turn it up after that.

Se My blanket is blinking F2 and I can't set the controls

To reset the control:
1) Unplug the blanket from the wall outlet.
2) Check that the control is well connected to the module. (Disconnect and re-connect it).
3) Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
4) Set the control to "on".
Try 1-4 three times. If the blanket still does not operate, disconnect the power cord and contact Sunbeam Customer Care at 1-(800) 892-7684.

My husband and i were just recently given the queen size, dual remote heating blanket from you guys. When we try to turn on either of our remotes, it flashes F2 consistently unless unplugged. Is there...

The first link has some info about the F2 code.Apparently it used to be seen as FF but was changed. It is a power problem. It is still the same problem, which is REALLY not good. The next couple of links are forums which people also have the same problem as you.I would seriously get rid of that blanket.I saw someone mention EMF.I know exactly what EMF is and it is not an issue with this blanket at all,and is present in many things.A microwave probably has more, and still is not an issue.Anything that plugs into a wall has some form of EMF present,so do not even worry about it.

My control mechanism has error message F1 now F2 and will not get hot what is wrong

My electric blanket had the same message and I could not find anywhere to answer question. Sunbeam said to look on th cord tag and this was no help. I finally pulled out the main wire box inside blanket and took apart to see if there was anything obvious. All solders looked fine but then I noticed a drop of water. Used a hair dryer to dry the electronic board, reassembled and it worked. Must have been a water short.

Sunbeam Electric Blanket Model 972 A5 Type 692 (or 592) with temperature control 1 to 9 with 75 mins and 12 hrs and off control positions. The light blinks red and the blanket won't heat up. Please...

Did you get helped last year? If so please ignore. Otherwise....

Hi. You can locate a Sunbeam Service Centre via http://www.sunbeam.com.au/Pages/Support/Repairers.aspx

You're looking at $69,95 recommended retail.

BTW have you checked that it's not the blanket? Swap the controls over, if the problem follows the control it's the control. If the problem stays on the same side of the blanket, it's the blanket.

Also note Sunbeam has a 3 year warranty on electric blankets. If Date Of Purchase is less than 3 years ago call 1800025059 option 1 to speak to their Customer Service,
