The above image is a close-up of the clutch contact assembly. The illustration shows the correct positioning of the contact wire (a "j" shaped contact) to the camstack pad. To make this adjustment, remove the 6 - T15 TORX screws from the bottom cover and separate the bottom cover. Unplug the projector and remove the lamp module. GENTLY make a very slight bend to the wire to get it closer to the location in the picture. Turn the projector on, cycle it 3 or 4 times and check the position of the pad to the wire. Repeat until you get the position shown above. Good Luck !!

Everytime I turn my fujifilm finepix j38 on it says protected card. I can't take pictures erase pictures....nothing. How can I fix this problem?

Your camera uses an SD type card so on the upper left side there is a white sliding switch make sure this switch is pushed forward to the top (towards the gold contacts) to put it in the unlock position.

Fuji finepix s1000 camera problem: Suddenly the camera freezes between shots and displays "ok/next"in the bottom left-hand side of the frame. How do I get it to stop doing that and return to advancing...

Press the menu button, go into the set up option. Under image disp. make sure that the option OFF is set. This corrected my problem with the ok/next button.

My Fuji 5000 is not performing like it used to on action shots - even when on auto mode. The blurriness is terrible and all my shots have the blurred look unless the subjects stand still.

Have you gone to the manual? It might be the film speed setting is too low which is adjusted through the menu button. If my memory is correct it would be in the setup mode. If you haven't already checked this, the higher the speed the better the action shots.

Pictures out of focus

Keep the camera on AUTO, and refocus on every shot (push the button down until you see the green cross-hairs in the center of your subject - let up and then "snap" your photo).

To change the battery - open the door on the bottom right.

My camera will not take multiple shots

Ok, what you need to do is look at the top of your camera, around that smaller LCD screen. On the right side of the screen, you will see a button with three boxes stacked on top of each other.

You need to press that button until it displays the same icon in the TOP RIGHT corner of the smaller LCD screen right next to the button you are pressing.

That button switches the camera from Single shot mode to Multiple shot mode ( as well as a few other modes).

Flash button won't select mode.

you cannot set anything on auto mode! The camera sets itself automatically. try taking shot(AutoMode)in dimlit area or no light at all. If it's taking shots and flash isn't firing, your flash bulb is already busted! I suggest you buy a separate flash unit (they cost the same as replacing parts and service fee), a cheap one is comparable or works the same as the costly one, if you know how to set up on manual mode ( they call it compose or advance or creative mode!)
