Most likely the water coming into the washer through the Water Inlet Valve could be siphoned out to the drain pump and out the drain hose because of an issue with the pump or plumbing. Is your washer overfilling? Is the washer detecting an overheat error? Observe carefully as to what part of the washing cycle the water is draining out. By watching the washer as it goes through its wash cycle, you can find out which part or error is causing the Washing Machine To Not Fill With Water and Keep Draining issue.

SOURCE: indesit w93 washing machine fills with water but doesn't start washing

Hi there. I have an old model, the indesit WM12. Never counted the flashing light (yours was 10) but my dial started clicking constantly at the drain part. I called Idesit and they told me it was a blockage in the filter.
The filter they speak of it located, on mine, at the front of the machine at the very bottom on the right. It is a black dial about 3 - 4 inches in diameter. Unscrew that anti-clockwise (a real pain because so much water comes out. My wife and I unscrewed it, filled a baking tray with water, screwed it back up, emptied / substituted tray then same all over again - until empty. Though putting it on drain again and again helped at same time). When I pulled out the filter found a 'colour catcher' sheet in it. We used them first time ever the other day. Removed that, gave filter a wee clean and, hey presto, all is working again. Hope that helps. Jim

SOURCE: When filling my F&Paykel washer

You most likely have a smart water temp sensor on your machine. It makes sure you have the proper water temp to dissolve your detergent. Even when set to cold, it will add some hot water. It sounds like your machine is working properly. If you feel you are haveing a problem check the water temperatures in your owners manual and then check them with a thermomater in the washer. If they are not correct you may have a bad temperature sensor. Good Luck and I hope this helped. [email protected]

SOURCE: Smart drive washing machine not filling properly?

There is a valve under the top of the cover were the bowl is This valve has a spring in it and this spring and valve can get stuck shut this stopping the speed of the water entering the machine it may stop it all together

SOURCE: water filling issue

It sounds like you have a faulty Out of Balance Micro switch(the machine now thinks it's always out of balance) you'll find this under the motor controller module (main computer module) in the top of the machine on the righthand side. Anymore questions feel free to ask. cheers

I have a W 2104 washing machine , the program seems to not work properly , when the water comes in it straight away pumps the water out again and repeats this cycle

Washer fills with water then drains:

The critical question is. Is the water is just running down the drain but the pump isn't running. If it is being pumped out, and you can hear the pump running just the same as when it's emptying prior to spin then it could be aborting the wash because it is, or it thinks it's overheating. ( due to defective water temperature switch)

If the pump is failing to shut off then there is something wrong with the electronics. If your washer is a mechanical timer controlled device then you may have a sticking switch (which may explain if switching cycles does something for you). But if you have an electronic timer then you may be experiencing a board failure, where a cycle is being commanded when it is not intended to by design.

If water isn't being pumped out, but just draining away all the time, the washer will keep detecting there isn't enough water inside and top up with more.
Modern washing machines should be sophisticated enough to realize something's wrong and abort with an error, but if not, it may continue washing or rinsing for a short while before losing enough water to trigger more coming in again. It can get stuck on this cycle indefinitely and it's called siphoning.
Siphoning occurs when the end of the drain hose is lower than the level of the water inside the washing machine.
Try raising the hose and see what happens.
Also the drain hose should have some type of air gap where it fits into the stand pipe. It should not have an air tight fit.

Again Either it's siphoning down the drain due to an issue with the plumbing, it's overfilling, or also if it ( THE WATER) overheats then in some machines the software will employ a fill and drain tactic to cool down the water. The important thing is to work out which of these different faults is causing the problem by careful observation.

Other switch's to check would be the water inlet valve and the water pressure switch with a multi meter for continuity or OHMS.

And in some modern washers that come with THERMISTORS:
One symptom of a washing machine that thinks it's overheating and thus fills and drains at same time ( possibly because of a faulty thermistor) is if it's filling with cold water and pumping out at the same time. This is covered in this articleWashing machine fills and drains at same timealthough the same symptom can be caused by other faults.

On some models that have belt drive the WIGWAG selenoid could be defective or the spin and agitate bars could be bent or worn, or the spring worn or broken.

By the way my advice is free cuz God is good!

Smart drive 085

It won't spin until all the water is drained out. The drain pump may be blocked or faulty. Fix the drain pump fault first then deal with the filling issue. They will not be related.

My Fisher Paykel 8kg Intuative Washing Machine doesn't work on the Eco Wash cycle

Your eco Diverter valve has failed. this is a wax solenoid and is a common part to fail, it is located under the machine in the drain hose next to the drain pump.

The water starts to go in but drains straight away.

If the drain hose is too low and below water level the water has no reason to stay in the machine, and will flow straight through. If the water is pumping out during fill, you have a technical problem....Good luck....Nomess

Water runs straight through to drain hose

Has the drain hose been moved?  The outlet of the hose needs to be higher than the top of the tub to prevent water siphoning out.

The drain/spin cycle always adds water

It's normal if it just adds a little bit of water. It does this so your drain pump impeller doesn't run dry which could damage it. If it's filling right up, there could be a malfunction with the control board, the pressure switch or the inlet valve .

You could try shutting off the water supply at the taps before you start the drain/spin cycle.
Good luck!

Drum not filling up with water, it's draining straight out.

That means that the drain pump is always on.
That can happen because of a faulty or stuck water level switch (the one with floating sensor), because of a faulty drain pump solenoid, or because of a faulty pump.

Calypso - water goes straight to drain hose-not drum

the hose may still be filled from last cycle. try to put machine in final spin mode where all water from previous wash will be spun out the drain hose. once a siphon is started it can only be stopped by introducing air into the drain hose.
