I have an X2gen monitor that worked fine until I disconnected my hard drive and then reattached it. Now it appears to have no power getting to it and no light. I can't find an on/off button for it.

Here's a link to a good article that will help you to troubleshoot the startup error. You might also check Toshiba support online and see what the error light code indicates.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

My Western Digital My Book Essentials will not power on

IT appears that the HD is dead
Take it to an IT repair shop and have it checked out
If that is the case , replace it with a sshd unit as there is no moving parts like you have now to wear out
it powers up faster as well

What does the red light mean next to the power button?

The red light next to the power button is usuall the hard drive led which should blink every time the hard drive is in use, there is normally a green or yellow light for the power that shoukld stay on constant when the computer is on.

X2gen 19 inch monitor wont power on

Had the same problem with mine. First you need a volt meter (radio shack about $15). check the push in connector and make sure it has coming from it.

Place you meter on DCV for DC voltage, Then place one lead in the end of the plug in the hole. (will not fit all the way so will need to hold it there, Put the other lead on the shiny part of the plug. If you get a reading of 12 volts +/- 1 volt your good. Depending on which lead is were you may get a minus reading this is fine as if you switch your leads around it will go positive. you must have the cord plugged into the wall to do this test. You will not get shocked or anything as 12v is not enough to hurt you.

If you have the 12 volts the problem is in the monitor on the male plug or on the board. this takes more to fix and must take the back off the monitor and fix the connection or replace. I did this to mine and it is working right now.

X2GEN MW19U MONITOR (THE SAME PROBLEM -SCREEN BLANK & CLICKING)

BEING A COMPUTER EXPERT (IT TOOK ME 6 MONTHS) TO REALIZE "DEFAULT" MEANT GOOD NOT LIKE BACK IN THE DAY!

STARTING FROM THERE, I NEVER EVEN THOUGHT OF WHAT MADE A MONITOR LET ME GAMES ON POGO & CHECK THE GIRLS OUT. I LOOKED UP "X2GEN" AND HAD NO PROBLEM FINDING OUT THEY DON'T LIVE THERE ANYMORE.

THEN I LUCKED ON YOUR SITE AND THOUGHT MAYBE (THE FUSE) SO MY LITTLE SCREW DRIVER REMOVED SCREWS AND LIKE MAGIC, X2GEN WAS UNPLUGGED AND THE COMPONENTS WERE SEPARATED FROM EACH OTHER.

NOT REALLY HARD TO BELIEVE I STILL HAVE NO IDEA IF THERE IS A FUSE IN THE THING..

BACK TO YOU GUYS AND FINISHED READING YOUR THOUGHTFUL SOLUTIONS.

I DO KNOW WHAT THE POWER SUPPLY IS ---"back to known stuff" --AND THOUGHT WHY SEARCH FOR A NEW ONE FROM THE POOR FOLKS THAT WENT BELLY UP MAKING THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE??? "NOW THAT'S DEFAULT"

THERE IS A FISH TANK POWER UNIT THAT HAS THE SAME NUMBERS - IF THAT DON'T WORK--DUMPSTER & WILL GET A MONITOR FROM SOMEONE THAT STILL HAS A JOB--GOT TO KEEP'EM WORKING.

I WAS VERY HAPPY TO FIND YOUR SITE AND ALL THE FOLKS THAT TOOK THE TIME TO WRITE HELP--THANK-YOU FOR REAL rg

X2gen mw19u 19'' widescreen monitor going black

Try your monitor cable connections on both your pc and into your monitor.
Make sure they are TIGHT and level.

Also, it could be your video display card is faulty or your video display drivers are corrupt.

Try setting your desktop to a lower resolution, like 800x600 and see it that helps.

Working fine until psu packed in, replaced psu, begins power up

The PSU dying may have destroyed the motherboard also. Try removing all interface cards and disconnecting all drives to make sure.

X2gen MG19E monitor

The only way to adjust the tilt on these monitors is to loosen the screws that attach the stand to the monitor. We had to completely remove the stand from the monitor to get to these stand screws.
