My son's Action Replay for Nintendo DS suddenly stopped working. The screen is just blank when you turn it on and it will not register when you try to hook it up via the USB to the computer. Any suggestions?

My action replay for the ds is not working. When I turn it on, it just shows a white screen. Please help me! I looked through google for hours, for a copy of the action replay manual, because I lost mine.

I tried reconnecting it to the computer, and please don't say get a new one!
Everyone keeps saying that and if I buy a new one it will just happen again.

If you look at wikipedia The Action Replay DS has a System called Nopass which allows you to run homebrewed programs on the DS to turn off Nopass Just hold the B and select buttons at the same time as you turn the DS on -HAL

Sorry, my last desc should be ignored here are all to solutions to problems. I know:

Prob: Two white Screens:
Solution: none so far, have emails sent to Datel. see what happens. This occurs when attempting save codes with the DS and the AR is pulled out or DS powered off. My suggestion if you get a new one, only update codes using the PC software.

Prob: AR keeps asking for game cart. insertion:
Solution: remove AR and put in game cart.

Prob: AR not enough memory to update codes:
Solution: there is more bugs in their software/firmware that doesn't really know when items are deleted and space is free. You must reset AR cart. and then use the PC software to reload all the codes:

a) First I would update the AR PC software (no DS AR connected)
b) Connect DS with AR to PC then update the AR firmware
c) Disconnect DS AR from PC
d) DS off hold A+B when TURN ON DS when DS logo shows press START+SELECT with A+B still down as well, hold for a while. turn off DS
e) Reconnect to PC, turn on DS and drag the PC US codes to the DS side. (Note: I had to do 4 & 5 a couple of times it finally worked)

Prob: AR PC software not seeing the DS AR connection: Solution: The PC drivers are not being found for the NDS link. You need to do the following:

a) close the AR PC software, and disconnect the AR DS.
b) connect the AR DS and then the windows new hardware driver install window pops up. must select using the manual browse option.
c) go the the action replay directory either on the action replay CD you bought or from a extracted version from the web. (NOTE: this is not the installed location, but before where the setup.exe exists) I had lost my CD and did about 10 minutes and found a .rar of the source code.
d) pick the action replay subdirectory and click on install
e) you should see the NDS link drivers being installed.
f) start the AR PC software and attempt to connect the DS AR it should work.

-- I hope this helps anyone --

When you link up your action replay to your computer press quick update and wait for the barline on the touchscreen to go to the other side and then just wait for all your games to go back onto it,(this worked with mine),

and if you type in a curtain code that code will destroy your action replay and that happened to two of my action replays! so maybe you typed that code and me i had to by another action replay!!!!!!!

First, open up Action replay DSi Code Manager. Then right-click the action replay symbol in the upper-left hand corner. Then click about Action Replay Dsi. Click Reset Hardware. WARNING: THIS WILL DELETE ALL OF YOUR CODES!!!
Wait until it is done, then add your codes back on. It should work now.
HOPE THIS HELPED!

I know this sounds a little repetitive but what seems to always work for me when I disconnect the AR from whatever it is communicating with or its power source (by accident) is following the instruction booklet with doing a codelist reset (if you haven't figured it out it is when you push and hold a+b while turning the DS on and then pushing and holding start+select when you get to the safety screen and hold all 4 buttons for 10 seconds) If this doesn't work after you try it 20 times then you probably need a new AR (assuming you updated the PC software and AR firmware)

I have a solution to no-memory. 1) turn off the DS and press A+B 2)turn it on while still pressing A+B 3) Before it gets to "This is not endorsed or licensed by Nintendo" press start+select also while pressing A+B 4) Let go when it reaches the AR screen That should work. It resets your DS.
Problem: HELP!!! My DS erased all of the data programmed on it! How do I get it back?
My AR CD won't work with the computer in my house with internet connection because it was made after the year in the computer's valid reach.
The other one will work with the AR CD but it does not have internet connection because I busted it by running it so much.
WHAT DO I DO?????!!!!!!

Well the easiest way to fix the white screen is to get a flashcard and download a file to the flashcart and start you ar off of that then download the new firmware  if you need a link or something watch my vid on youtube my username is wesnr just look for it on my channel (the name is How To Fix A Broken Action Replay (This Works) if you couldnt guess) hope it helps with your problem

You know nintendo didnt make them it says not licenced pr endorsed by nintendo...

A

Look closly at the Nopass stuff To de activate it just hold B and Select while turing on the Ds

A

Anonymous

If the a+ start+select doesnt work and its not connecting to the ARCM(action replay code manager) then u must take it to a store manager , open it and un and reconect the action replay . or u can be smart and buy a new one and stop waysting your time

for all of u who keep posting the same thing each time ur a bunch of idiots... :) bye

This happened to me too, and what I found out is if you turn the power off while the Action Replay is saving, it wipes out the data. Did something similar happen to you?

2 blank screens after update

The Action Replay has been wiped of all data and all you can do is buy a new one. The same thing happen to mine after I tried to update it, and I called datel and they said that you turned your DS off while it was trying to save and it corrupted the data on the AR. And since the data is corrupted, it wont start.

Nintendo ds won't start pokemon diamond game

Do you know anyone else who has a nintendo ds (doesn't have to be lite)? If so, try the game in that sytstem, and if the same thing happens, then the game has a glitch. This tends to happen a lot with plenty of my handheld games, and i find that it helps if you blow into the game cartridge, and also into the cartridge hole. If that doesn't work, try repeatedly turning the game on and off. And if that doesn't work, try going to nintendo.com.
