Hi there

You don't say what make or model the unit is. My guess is that the flashing light is telling you that the rinse-aid dispenser needs refilling ! Good Luck

SOURCE: dishwasher has a overfill problem rinse light flashing

An Idea: the Overflow sensor or float is bad, stuck, disconnected and its messages to STOP filling aren't getting thru to the CPU

This is usually located in the right frony of the machine or in the side wall. Float types get gummed up with 1/2 dissolved soap powder (god what we do tho the water systems) see if it moves. Sensor types have a hole that feels or senses water. If clogged, they lie. Clean out with toothpick and blast with a bit of hot water and air. Retry

If fixed, let me know... if not, see the yellow pages for parts dealers ;-)

Cheers

SOURCE: dwf50 hotpoint aquarius dishwasher

hi, just found this forum after searching the web 4 a solution to my hotpoint DWF50 problem.
I came down this morning to a machine which base tray was full of water and lights 3 ECO & 4 Fast flashing.
Anyway my solution was as i had seen a hotpoint engineer do once before was to press the start/reset button trip the catch, to fool the machine into thinking the door is closed then put in a program, press start, the machine hums slightly but doesnt do anything then after removing the large filter from the tray at the bottom underneath the lower basket insert a length of wire, with a loop on the end (Tip i used a wire coat hanger from the dry cleaners) poke in ythe hole that the dirty water drains from, after a bit of poking about the pump started working and the water drained away. Tip place a hook at the other end of your wire impliment to put your finger in to stop the wire getting caught in the pump mechanisim. After wards u have to hook back the door catch to the normal position, Tip another piece of the coat hanger with a right angled piece at the end will do this. This worked for me, saved me some money esp as D & G insurance ran out 2 weeks ago.....stu

SOURCE: Flashing lights on Hotpoint FDL570 Dishwasher

I had an identical problem with the salt and rinse aid lights on the left and the drying and end lights on the right flashing shortly after switching the dishwasher on. When I pulled it out, as this was the only way to look at the pipework, I noticed a big kink in the water hose. Removing this and obviously sorting out the flow problem has resolved the issue.

Kitchenaid dishwasher KUDS01DJ Rinse only light is flashing. control panel is frozen with only rinse only light flashing. does not respond to pressing of any buttons. I flipped the breaker switch,...

Ok, Turn breaker off at breaker panel. Just off then on. The rinse only light should be on.....not flashing. Now press the start button first and hold; then press the cancel button. That should cancel all lights. Then press wash button then start. If the light is still flashing after you turn off breaker....you might have a bigger problem. May need new control panel.

is the light indicator flashing because you need to add salt or rinse aid.i have a bosch and my lights only flash to give me information on addig salt and,or rinse aid. so i can stop this by setting my dishwasher to take all in one detergent ,then the lights will not flash.

Flashing clean light and wont start. Is there a sequence of buttons to reset the switchboard?

sani rinse---heated dry---sani rinse---- heated dry.. all the lights on console should light then close the door, let run for 20 -30 secs, and cancel the cycle, if the problem happens again yo need t call a servicer. 1 time maybe a fluke but to happen again indicates a heating, issue somewhere(or a lack of heating)

MY G892SCUPLUS MIELO DISHWASHER LIGHTS AND CYCLES ARE STUCK.

The rinse aid light means you are out of rinse aid. The salt light means you have to add salt to your built in water softener. If the drain/intake light is on, that is when you have a problem. It will flash when there is a problem. You have to count the flashes and that will tell you what the error is.
