Look on the button that allows you to back up or go forward in your voice mail messages. My Panasonic machine has < > for messages (left push/right push) but also + - for volume (down push/up push)

so it is a connections problem I think. Check if video and audio cables are properly connected. Use color codes as your guide. Also from menu check if all settings are ok. Good luck

I have a panasonic kx-tga271 handset. The speaker phone, the ringer and keypad noise do not work. Is it fixanle?

It could be the speaker. I have a handset with the same issue. The internal speaker which produces these sounds broke. If you can find a small speaker that fits inside, its an easy fix - - just take out the screw inside the battery compartment and carefully undo the plastic assembly. The speaker is held in place with a plastic anchor that twists off. There are two dots of solder which attach the wires that will have to be melted and resoldered on the replacement. Anyone thats handy can fix this. Look for a used handset for parts. You might also consider breaking apart a cheap set of headphones for the speaker. It won't be as loud, but at least the sound will be restored to some degree.

My Panasonic TH42PZ80 makes a slight buzzing noise when switched on - is this usual or is there a problem?

If the buzzing is coming from the set itself rather than the speakers, then this is normal. The bussing should only be loud enough to hear when you are close to the set. If it is loud enough to hear from across the room, it is not normal and could be a sign that the power supply is starting to fail. Which case best describes your situation?
