Baking soda, Epsom salts, sea salt, vinegar for helping to remove hard skin, lavender and/or sage and other herbs, oils and whatever your imagination or research can discover.

Caffeine is reckoned good for feet and legs so I guess feet could benefit and menthol shampoo makes the scalp tingle and might put a spring in the step of anyone who adds a few crystals to the footbath...

Yes you can add those chemicals. But keep in mind any salt is corrosive.

SOURCE: Vinegar

Do not add anything to the tank.... Vinegar is corrosive and that would potentially be very bad.

SOURCE: I have a homedics foot

According to the manufacturer it is not recommended you use Epsom salt in this product as long term use can cause corrosion to the water jets. I hope this helps.

How do I soak using hot water?

Epsom salt can also quell foot odor, help heal fungus or ingrown nails, and soothe dry skin. You'll find this healing salt at most **** stores and pharmacies. In a standard size tub, dissolve one cup of Epsom salt in warm water and soak your feet for 10 to 15 minutes.

Can I add epsom salts into the water for a heated foot soak?

If you want a heated foot soak I suggest you put hot water and epsom salts into one of those plastic dish-washing bowls and find a comfortable chair to sit in while your feet are immersed until the water is quite cool.

I certainly would not add anything to hot tubs or anything else unless it is specifically recommended.

Is there anything I need to do before adding salt to water??

You can add epsom salt to the water at any time; be aware that it will foam when the pump is 'ON'.

My hamstrings are cramping from a workout. What household item could I use to help? Food, medication, techniques, etc.

Mix 1 c Epsom salts, 1 c baking soda, 1/2 c fullers earth ( found in the cheapest cat litter at Walmart, just be sure to get the kind with nothing but fuller's), add 10 drops peppermint oil. Run hot bath, mixing all ingredients until disolved. Add 1 c white vinegar or lemon juice. Fizz will occur. Soak for at least 20 min. Drink a large glass of water after bath to clear toxins. You will probably be very sleepy afterward so no alcohol or driving. Also, do not use if you have kidney disorders.

I have a dazey foot saver i need to know how to use it please can u help me

Fill with water to Fill Line. Add any salts or foot-soaking solution desired (a handful of Epsom salts, or 1 Tbsp bleach, per gallon, or a retail product, for example), or leave plain. Place on a towel, plug in, Turn to desired type of soak/massage/aeration/heat and enjoy. After about 10 or 15 minutes, dry feet on towel (you'll probably want to rinse or wash them when you're done with the Foot Saver). Unplug the Foot Saver and dispose of the water in the unit. Rinse it out (if any residue remains, wipe with a wet paper towel), and turn upside-down on a waterproof surface to air dry, or towel dry, and store.
