On a Panasonic KX-T7453 When trying to make an outgoing call on lines 1,2, or 3, we dial the first number and the screen immediately says RESTRICTED.

Any idea what may have changed? No one has touched any programming on this system in years.

Sorry, forgot to mention this is only happening on 1 extension. We tried swapping another phone and we get the same results. All other phones (extensions) work fine.

bad wiring on the port. Take off faceplate and check all wires are secure - compare the wiring to another port known to be working

I found the manual and was able to use remote station unlock to fix it. Somehow the user locked the station. In case anyone else wants to know, go to programming extension, enter progamming code (default is **1234), then PROGRAM, 99, 01, ENTER EXTENSION # TO UNLOCK, 1 TO UNLOCK, AUTO DIAL/STORE THEN PROGRAM TO EXIT. Thanks for your help though!

SOURCE: panasonic kx-t7453, night mode message programming

Do you mean have calls transferred to voice mail? Go into system programming and change 408 (DIL 1:1 Nite) to point to the ext of the voice mail port, which depends on your system. That number is found in 118

SOURCE: Panasonic KX-T7730 Speed Dials - Please Help!

So I guess that means you're not programming SYSTEM speed dial numbers. Those are programmed from the system manager or operator's station. Personal speed dials are 1-0 and are programmed per set.

HOW DO I CHANGE THE GREETING ON A KX-T7453 PANASONIC CORDED PHONE?

The KX-T7453 phone does not have a message function, you may have an associated voicemail on your system. Try dialing (on the intercom) extension 165 if you do not have a voicemail button. Are you trying to change the greeting for your individual phone or the main greeting people hear when they call your company?
This gets a lot more complicated and you should contact your vendor.

When i pickup the phone i want the intercom to be my first option not a line out?

One of the following two methods of programming "Preferred Line Assignment-Outgoing" should work depending on which Panasonic phone system your KX-T7433B phone is connected to. Try number one first, if PROGRAM 99 does not get you into station programming, try number 2.

1) Press PROGRAM button then dial 99 to enter station programming. Dial 1, then press INTERCOM button to select Intercom as your Preferred Line Assignment-Outgoing choice. Press AUTODIAL/STORE button to save programming. Press PROGRAM button to end station programming or lifthandset then replace in cradle to end station programming.

2) Press PROGRAM button then dial 19, press AUTODIAL/STORE button. Press INTERCOM button then AUTODIAL/STORE button. Press PROGRAM button to end station programming or lift handset and replace in cradle to end station programming.

Unblock my restricted number

There is no cost to perform this action on a per call basis. Check with AT&T...you enter something like *87 or *82 before you dial the phone number.
