Green flag will only repair it if its an easy fix. If it isn't they'll just tow you to the nearest garage anyway. Cut out the middle man, (and his costs), go to the garage first.
Printers have a series of 'flags' usually near to the middle of the paper path, these are just little black plastic pegs that are moved when the paper goes through. If one is stuck or trapped with even a tiny scrap of paper then you will get a paper jam error.
Whatever printer you have, start looking for these sensor flags and ensure that they are all free to move.
Turn on your TomTom and on the map screen tap anywhere, next tap the wrench at the bottom next to the forward arrow, tap the forward arrow until you see a icon of flags, tap the flag icon and set your language
The Acer Recovery CDs do not set the Boot flag on the hard drive. I had to manually set the boot flag to on using GPARTED Live. After restarting using the GPARTED CD, you can manage the flags under the partition drop down and click on the Boot flag. After exiting GPARTED, I rebooted the laptop and no more black screen....fixed!!
I hope this helps others.
On the monitor, you might be able to adjust the height from the menu or a knob in older screens. You could try right-click in the middle of the desktop, go properties and chaneg the resolution to better suit the monitor. My guess is that you have not got the right driver loaded and therefore the resolution is like 640x480 instead of somewhere up around 1024x768. You can use the "Windows key" on your keyboard, looks like a flag symbol to get at start options.
If your priter is showing a 241 paper jam and the paper stops in the paper tray or lower front, then you can replace the pick rollers to fix this problem. If the paper stops in the middle, then check to make sure the sensor flag in the middle left of the printer is clean and in place. If the jam is in the back of the printer then check the fuser rollers to make sure that they are rolling when the printer starts to print, check the exit sensors on the fuser, there are usually two flags, one on each side of the fuser. If there is no paper stuck in the printer, then make sure that all sensor flags are up and not stuck halfway down. Or check for dust in the sensors.
