What was the card number, expiry date and the three digits from the signature strip and I will check the records.

you cant they are experation dates a new card is issued when those dates on card run out.

Go to yoor account settings and billing. There should be a way of registering a new card. This is done when the expiry date passes, so should be able to change a card as well.

if it is expiry date feb 2014 then it is not 4 years later and expired.
Go into paypal login and add a newer credit card with a future date as expiry date and then make it the default card paypal uses .
Pay pal might be taking the money directly out of your account and hence it has not expired. Also check how much you owe on the card you might be at the credit limit or daily spending limit
