Microwave won't turn on. Seems like it is not getting power. I checked breaker. I am looking for a fuse. You know where one is? It is a GE Spacemaker(2 yrs old) model # JVM1440WH04

Probably not a house fuse. Typically good or bad!! Have you tried it in a totally different outlet?? Could be a bad connection of your circuit breaker to the bus bar in your circuit breaker panel. Try it on an outlet on a different breaker. Or have someone check the power at the outlet when it is running and see if the voltage is dropping.

look for white small fuse inside by power cord are on small board

The keypad control board may be the problem, or the inverter board if 7 years old or less, cost should be considered.

If your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the appliance.

Turn off the power before starting this process. If the oven is dead, the fuse is probably blown. Remove the two screws that hold the touch pad and control board in place to access the fuse. Once inside, look towards the back and follow the power cord that enters the rear of the microwave to the fuse. It should be a 15 amp ceramic fuse.

when you said the power went out ( did you mean to the micro or the complete hm . if only to micro it probably blew it internal fuse . they doo that . replace the fuse ( radio shack is a good place to get it .) but ck the door inter lock's as they may have caused the failure . ps buy more than one fuse / you may need more. **** ,,

The outlet is normally in the wall behind them, check your breaker panel for a tripped breaker or remove the Microwave and check the outlet.

check the circuit breaker first it may be the fuse is blown The fuse may be located behind the grille following the power cord on the rside of the unit.
it may be a bad thermal fuse or oven thermostat.

Found this under GE instead of Maytag, but can answer for you here.

It may be the internal fuse, but more likely it is the thermostat on the magnetron.
