there are backing lights in the module it would need to be repaired but it would be more cost efective to get a module from a junk yard.

SOUNDS LIKE THE IGNITOR IS BAD OR NO GAS IS AVAILABLE.THREE ATTEMPTS TO LIGHT AND THE SAFTY SHUTS IT DOWN SO WE KNOW THERE IS A CALL. FORCED DRAFT IS RUNNING,AND AN ATTEMPT TO LIGHT IS OCCURRING. CHECK TO SEE IF 120 VOLTS IS BEING SENT TO THE IGNITOR IF IT IS AND IGNITOR IS NOT GLOWING THEN ITS BAD . R AND R EXACTLY AS FOUND. DONT TOUCH CERAMICS, WEAR COTTON CLEAN GLOVES .YOU ARE PROBABLY GOING TO HAVE TO PAY A PRO CAUSE THE PRTS ARE NOT GOING TO BE SOLD TO A HOME OWNER DUE TO THIS BEING A GAS FURNACE. A PRO WILL FIX , WARRANTY, AND TEST HEAT EXCHANGER, AND BE THERE INSURED IF THERE IS A PROBLEM.

SOURCE: My old Amana air conditioner will not turn on. Is

I need to know more. when you call for cooling does the indoor fan run? Does the contactor at the outdoor unit pull in? Have you looked at the fuses, breaker. If it has been very hot lately open the outdoor unit and look for a thing that looks like a large battery it should have 3 to 5 wires on it this is the run/start cap the high outdoor temp will sometimes make this fail. You can see a failed cap 85% of the time just by looking it will have a defromed top or be leaking oil. YOU DON'T WANT THIS OIL ON YOU!

My AMANA PTAC unit model # PTH093b35ae is not producing heat. My air conditioner works fine. So, I get cold air. However, when I switch to heat, it still runs but does not produce any heat.

It is not switching from cooling into heating. You probably need to have a service tech look at the unit. Sorry. It could be control board or stuck reversing valve.

Where is the Manual Heater Reset Switch on an Amana A/C and Heater Unit Model number PTH093B35AJ? The unit has several stickers that state it has a "Manual Heater Reset Switch".

Almost certainly it is a bad relay on the circuit board. Sometimes you can slap the side of the unit by the control box to temporarily unstick the relay, after which the heat will come on for a cycle or two. There are two relays on the circuit board marked "heater 1" and "heater 2". You can order a new circuit board for about $100 or replace the relays at $4 apiece (order online from Digi-Key, requires solder connections). Part number JTN1a-PA-F-DC5V.

Ptac153b50am not blowing hot air

Have an identical unit. Replaced the heater core which has built in limit switches. Didn't fix. Finally fixed it by replacing the heater relays (small black boxes soldered into the circuit board). Can purchase at Digi-Key online for $4 apiece or buy a new circuit board for about $100.

Heater stopped working. Fan works, control panel diagnostic check reports no failure code. Placard on front of unit says heater unit has manual reset, I can't find a reset button or breaker for heater....

The front panel should be held in place by four screw at the corners or snap in place. Either remove screws or pull gently on top right corner to remove cover. You should see a red reset buttom type reset. Push it in to reset. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Display went out on thermostst, breakers are still on "on", is there an internal reset button?

Most PTAC's have a reset on the power cord where the plug is. If this doesn't help I can find out. The new boards are a little tricky. Is this model touch pad or knobs?
