Samsung LED 60' TV UN60J620DAFXZA not turning on? No red standby light? No backlights?

I have a 60' inch Samsung LED TV UN60J620DAFXZA. a few days ago the TV shut off unexpectedly with a static noise. Upon turning it back I heard a faint clicking noise as it tried to power back on but it didn't work. Now I hear no clicking noise and see no standby light. I ordered the proper repair kit from shopjimmy and replaced both mainboard and power supply board but still no stand by light. Please help!

Did you try repairing the PS with a repair kit first then replace both the boards after that?

Testimonial: "Larry, No I did not. I figured since the issue was power (no stand by light) it had to be because of one of the boards, so i replaced them. I even went as far as to buying every board including the tcon board and replaced them all. Still no power, no standby light, no LED backlight."

I know this almost sounds silly but do you have a bad power cord going to the set?...No standby would mean there isn't a 5 volt standby voltage and if you changed the PS board, hopefully the replacement was good even if there were other issues you should get a standby light

SOURCE: Pioneer PDP 5030 power supply problem

Ok here's how I manage solve the problem... Having the back removed opens the contacts on the interlock switch so I guess if it powers up in this state it senses the high voltages are exposed and for safety shuts down... After this the unit will not power up and the power led flashes red continuously as described before…
After some thought it occurred to me that there may not be a problem at all, just be a simple reset function for this condition… I managed to find an easy solution to this… Just call up the hidden engineer’s service menu – On 3rd generation Pioneer Plasmas it’s as follows > Power down the screen > Hold down the “Input” and “Vol +” buttons on the front > Power the screen up and the Service menu comes up on the screen > You don't need to change anything just simply power off and from then the screen should operate as normal…It did for me so I’m well happy now!!
I hope this information will help someone else one day – Good Luck!!…Rob UK…

SOURCE: MY ILO LCT27HA36 TV won't come on, it just stays in standby mode/

I had the same problem. Then it worked for a while with me unplugging it and plugging it back in. Then one day it bit the dust. Nothing but the red light.

I found the solution on this website and I am trying to find it to thank the guy who posted it. For less than 10 bucks at Radio Shack, I was able to fix the problem with his instructions. And I know little to nothing about electronics. What it boils down to is this:
1. Lay the TV face down on something soft.
2. Take out the gazillion screws in the back until the back panel(s) come off.
3. Where the power cord plugs in, there is a ground wire going to a screw and another plug that you can undo. On this circuit board lies the problem.
4. Remove the circuit board (there are several other plugs on it. They all fit only one way, so I didn't pay much attention to how they came off.
5. Look on the board at the light blue cylindrical shaped capacitors. I don't remember how many there are, but look at the top of them. Find any that are bulging slightly at the top. They should be easy to spot. I had six on mine that were bulging. If you are handy with a soldering iron, remove the bad ones, making sure where each one comes from. There are a couple of different types/sizes. It is written on the side of each the resistance and what I assume is the voltage.
6. Go to the local Radio Shack and purchase new resistors. Note: I had some that were 1000 um and 36v or something and some that were 440 um and 16v. I couldn't find an exact match on one of those, but according to who I got my instructions from, as long as the resistance (um) number is the same, you can go up in the volts. So I ended up replacing some that were 16v with like 35v but the resistance (um) was the same and there are no problems.
7. Solder them carefully back into place. The circuit board is clear about which hole is positive (+) so don't get them backwards. The ones I bought from Radio Shack had a stripe on the side that was negative.
8. Put it all back together, and there ya have it.

Cheap fix. I admit I was darn skeptical it would work. I had already bought a new tv, but decided I wouldn't be out much if it didn't work. But it is working like the day I bought it again. And, it has a better picture than the Philips LCD tv that I bought to replace it.

Wish I could find the guy I got that info from. I was very impressed and grateful.

Hope this works for someone.

SOURCE: Pioneer SD-532HD5 Projection Screen TV won't turn back on.

the problem with pioneer projection tvs is that when they made the boards they never used enough solder for the circuits and you get cracks in the runs. thats why heat and cold will effect it. I had the same problem and I took out the board and resoldered every track I could and it works good now but my remote wont work if anyone has any info or prints to this tv please post on here

Model UN60J620DAFXZA, Version EA03. Why doesn't it turn on?

You have bad LED backlights, it's a very common issue, it's unfortunate you spent money on boards that aren't bad, order new backlights here https://www.shopjimmy.com/bn96-29074a-bn96-29075a-led-backlight-strips-new-12/ It's about a 3 hr job to change them, take pictures as you take it apart, use extreme caution when handling the panel, it's very fragile, tape the panel board to the front of the panel when you remove it or it could get damaged, if your panel has side wheat chips don't set it on them or the panel may be damaged, watch several you tube vids...GOOD LUCK!

You have to check the power supply of the tv. Normally led TVs power suppy is integrated with the led driver. If the led driver is faulty then this type of problems can occur.

Stalling coming on

LG's are known for having bad capacitors in the power supply. These components will cause all kinds of problems like not turning on, no backlight or no video and are known to do this after the TV has been off for a few hours or days. You will need service on this TV.
