The blinking wont go off the answering machine there are no calls we deactivated the cable company voice machine and everything has been deleted but the answering machine wont stop blinking

Hello, it sounds as if your base has gotten corrupt somehow. You can try defaulting it, but keep in mind you will lose all your messages, and will need to re-register your handsets if it works. To do so, get all your handsets together near you base. Unplug the power from your base and turn the base over. Push and hold down the Page/Registration key and keep it held down while you plug the power back in. Keep the key held down for at least 15 seconds, then release and begin registering your handsets. You do not have to cancel the phone company voice mail service. You need to change the number of rings the phone uses to answer the voice mail.

For example, if the telephone company voice mail answers if 4 rings, set the telephone answering machine to answer in 3 rings or less.

I have a similar issue. I am on voip and when I receive another voip call all is good. when a regular call comes in, I get on the screen, "Voice Call" and "slient" in the lower corner. Anh ideas?
