Type "Muskota fireplaces" into your computer's search engine and see whether you can find a dealer or a manufacturer.
You should be able to.
God bless your efforts.

Sorry but this is a comment and not helpful at all. 99/100 the first thing that someone would do is to try to query a search engine. Even a basic user knows where to start. If the user is able to find this forum to post his question, that is most likely where he found this site after not having any luck with a search.

I spent an hour or so trying to find repair parts for this unit. The company that makes the "guts" is SANY, which is out of China. Unfortunately, their primary business seems to be forklifts, so anyone that carries their parts in North America carries the large machinery parts. I was unable to find any parts for these fireplaces even searching the module part numbers.

Long story short, after spending quite a bit of time on this, I deemed it "no replaceble parts" and disassembled it. Turns out there is one thing you can try. There is a thermal sensor that can get dirty and give a false "overheated" reading to shut the unit down. I cleaned that, and tightened all the leads to the blower motor/heater and control board, and it seems to have patched it for a while as it's currently working.

Here we go folks, the problem is a failed capacitor on the circuit board.
It is called C10 which is printed on the circuit board, it is located on the left side of the silver heat sink and above the doughnut shaped coil, you should replace it with the same or one catagory higher in voltage.(1000 mircofarad 16 Volt)
You should have some soldering experience to replace and please pay attention to the polarity. (Pos and Neg.)

Muskoka fireplace #mfb25ws-1 has power going to fireplace but won't start

I had the same problem, power to switch but won't operate, when the switch is turned on the beep is heard indicating there is power. Took me a while to find the issue and it was tracked down to the micro switches on the front circuit control board. They where worn and not making proper contact to complete the control circuit, they work when I wiggle the micro switch (can only test it by holding the circuit board in your hands and push on the micro switch around, doesn't work if it's still attached to the fireplace as you are not able to wiggle the switch.) I went on amazon and purchase new micro switches and replace all of them (5) and is now working perfectly. Just be careful when desoldering/soldering the circuit board. Good luck... Hope this may be the problem.

Muskoka electric fireplace ,the switch doesnt work

  • Unplug the fireplace
  • Open up the fireplace to gain access to the inside.
  • Inspect switch for charring, melting, etc.
  • Inspect circuit board for charring etc.
  • If indeed the switch is the culprit: then...
  • Unhook the wires from the switch.
  • Remove the switch.
  • Bring the switch into your local hardware store or radio shack.
  • Buy a compatible switch - pay attention to amperage markings etc. so your new switch can handle the power.
  • Install new switch and re-hook up the wiring.
  • Close up the fireplace and enjoy...
