Hi,
You have to check electricity coming to the oven. It is 3 wire coming to the oven. Red, white and black. Between red and black you should have 240V. Between white and red - 120V, between white and black - 120V.

SOURCE: Oven Light won't shut off

Amazing, I had the same problem, was told the same thing, even quoted the same amount!   There must be a playbook with stupid answers by repair people.  Anyhow, here is how I unlocked my oven:  "Press and hold the 'Lock' button for 3 seconds then let go and it should unlock in about a minute."  Hope this works for you. SOURCE: I have a GE Single Wall electric

First your broiler heating element may have gone bad and now you oven heating element may have gone bad. Using an OHM meter disconnect them and test for their value.Full scale on the meter means it is shorted. No meter movement means that it is open.Eitehr means to obtain a new element(s) and replace it/them.

Sounds like your control board/panel has shorted out. You would definitely need a professional to diagnose correctly and properly repair.

After cleaning, the oven read out says that it is

maybe a thermal fuse on the back of the oven blew out. some of these wall ovens had a retrofit kit to help prevent this from repeatedly happening when the self cleaning was used.

My clock and temperature display is dim

Hi, this will happen over a period of time and its just heat related. the control panel isn't insulated properly and , there has been a larger than normal transfer of heat to the inside of the control panel where the circuits are housed.

If this is a problem, i recommend replacing the control board. it will fix the dim issue.

Electric wall oven will not heat up

This is ovenmad from the previous post. I had a repair guy come out and he found the problem to be the Safety Thermostat. When tripped, this allows everything to work on the oven except the elements. He did not have the part with him so will return in 6 days to replace it. That should solve the problem. No idea why it tripped. The safety thermostat is located on the rear of the oven so we will have to pull out the oven to replace the thermostat. Again, this was a Frigidaire Single Electric Wall Oven made in 2004. Hope this helps somebody else.
