First set your local time, date and year and then run the "home positioning" (H-SET) procedure following manual instructions. If no any other problem exists, normally hands will "follow" digital time when watch is set back to time mode.
This is really easy to do yourself. Get a CR1632 battery, unscrew the four screws on the back (dont tip the watch as there is a small spring in the watch), unclip the metal band holding in the old battery noting the way 'round the battery is in (minus side up), pop in new battery and push clip back down, when re-fitting the back make sure the spring mentioned earlier lines up with the white sticker with a hole in it on the inside of the watch back, screw down the back. After you have re done all your settings you may need to re-aquaint the watch with the strap, to do this put on the watch and strap, set the heart monitoring going, bring the watch up close to the 'Polar' logo on the chest strap until the time is displayed, should now be all set up.
The reset is typically not a button. If you look at the back lid with the watch open you might have instructions to reset or "AC" the watch. Usually this involves using tweezers or lever to contact the battery and circuit board to clear it. My suggestion for this procedure is to see a watch maker/technician since the circuit board is easily damaged.
Hi to anyone with a wave ceptor, when you replace a battery you need to re calibrate the hands to 12 o'clock (also those with a 24 hour hand will need to be set to 24) this is called the home position, the same goes to stopwatch hands.
The hand setting settings vary wildly from watch to watch you will need to consult the manual or if you have lost it download thePDF file from casios support page, www.casio.co.uk , you will need adobe reader or a similar program that reads PDF files also you will need the module number, this can be found as a 4 figure number on the back of the watch, these instructions are easy enough to understand, i managed to set mine no problem.
Good luck!!!!
Hi, mate. Do not know how it's going in Afghanistan right now, but I hated every single bit in that country 28 years ago (Russian invasion). Unfortunately I was in service in Soviet Army, so, we would be shooting each other if you were there at that time. Right now I'm very happy, 'coz I was fortunate enough to escape from Soviet Union 20 years ago and find my refuge in England. Anyway - deepest respect to the guys servicing their own homeland in such a hot spots. OK, back to business: To find out the proper settings for your watch follow this link:
