The screen of my Nikon D3300 does not turn off when it is connected to the pc and That is annoying because of the battery charge. when I use the camera and It is not conected to the pc, the screen turnS off in 4 second to save batery charge, But that not occurs when it is conected By usb. The thing is that I'm using a Tether Tools on my sessions to monitor lighting and those kind of things on my PC and I need to save the battery charge.
The screen stays on so that you can monitor the activity taking place.
BTW, it is not advisable to use battery power when transferring images to the computer, since if the camera runs out of power partway through, all images on the card may be corrupted. Use the mains lead - it is what it is for. Alternatively, transfer the images by using a USB card reader, and placing the memory card in that.

SOURCE: Connecting the camera via USB hub.
Use of a USB hub for connection does not guarantee normal operation. Try attaching the USB cable directly from the D-snap SD Camera to one of the built-in USB ports on the PC.

Guest is right. Clean the contacts, bend the contacts with a small flat head screw driver upwards "GENTLY". This should work. Might have to repeat every couple of months. Forget regular batteries. Use the rechargeable ones. MUST be fully recharged.

I assume from your description that either you are running a version of Windows older than XP/2000 or you need a special driver. Here is a link for the driver(s) you will need. Just enter your model number and select your version of Windows. Download and run the file and you should be up and running shortly.

Same problem as described above. Fresh batteries, turn it on, see the Kodak screen for a second, then it just turns off. I found that if you swith it to the favorites icon (the only one below the Off position) it stays on and I can review photos. But no taking new photos! Help!!!
