We just hooked up our new Tuscany faucet and have no water pressure. Only a trickle. Why is this?

Unscrew and check the aerator. A lot of times when changing a fixture you will stir up debris in the supply line. When installing a new fixture remove the aerator when turning on for the first time to flush the line.

HOW TO CHANGE A BALLCOCK ON COMMODE

HOW TO REPLACE A BALLCOCK ON A WATER CLOSET, COMMODE: FIRST SHUT WATER OFF TO COMMODE. THER WILL BE A WATER SHUTOFF VALVE BETWEEN THE FLOOR AND THE COMMODE ON THE WATER LINE TO YOUR BALLCOCK, TURN WATER OFF, FLUSH COMODE SO YOU CAN CLEAR MOST ALL OF THE WATER OUT OF IT. THEN UNCREW THE NUT FOR THE WATER SUPPLY, THEN UNSREW THE NUT FOR THE BALLCOCK ITSELF, OPEN THE TOP OF THE COMMODE, YOU WILL SEE A FLAPPER ON THE BALLCOCK, REMOVE IT, THEN TAKE THE BALLCOCK OUT, SOME HAVE A ROD AND FLOAT SOME DO NOT, EITHER WAY IF IT DOES WHEN YOU PUT THE BALLCOCK BACK IN THE SAME WAY THE OLD ONE CAME OUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE GASKET ON WHEN YOU STICK THE END OF THE BALLCOCK BACK, TIGHTEN THE NUT, THEN MAKE SURE YOUR WASHER IS IN THE NUT ON THE WATER LINE AND RE CIONNECT WATER LINE, YOU CAN ADUST FLOAT VALVE BY BENDING THE ROD DOWN TO THE AMOUNT OF WATER YOU WILL WANT CONNECT FLAPPER BACK, TO THE NEW BALLCOCK, IF THE BALLCOCK DOES NOT HAVE A FLOAT, YOU CAN ADJUST PER INSTRUCTION, SO AFTER ALL THIS IS DONE AND TUBE IS CONNECTED FROM BALLCOCK TO THE TOP OF IT WITH CLIP, TO DIRECT YOUR FILL WATER, TURN YOUR WATER ON AND ADJUST SOME MORE IF NEED BE, UNTILL YOUR CORRECT AMOUNT OF WATER IS LIKE YOU WANT IT...THIS IS REALLY EASY COMPARED TO PAYING A PLUMBER FOR THIS JOB, AND IT HAS TO BE DONE QUITE OFTEN, LARRY VEAL MASTER PLUMBER TEXAS

How do remove Moen kitchen faucet?

To Remove Moen Kitchen Faucet.
Regardless of the type of faucet being installed, there are a few basics steps everyone will follow.
First, shut off the water supply to the old faucet using valves typically located under the sink. Then remove those supply lines and the old faucet.
Before installing the new faucet, check the area around the sink and clean up any gunk or old caulk that you couldn't see before, Simons says.

Filler valve won't shut off. How do I fix it?

replace ballcock assy. Its cheap and can be done with hand tools. Drain bowl, remove supply line, unscrew old ballcock nut and pull out, reverse to assemble. The conical supply washer needs to go onto supply line tip first , then up into ballcock or itll leak.

Moen quick connect leaking under sink

you either do not have it seated all the way or you have damaged an o-ring anytime you are putting togethr parts with o-rings you should make sure and put stem grease on the o-rings to ensure not to cut or damage them. if you have damaged the o-ring instead of a whole new part you can take the o-ring out take it to your local hardware store and match it with a new one. dont forget the stem grease.

My Moen Chateau (older style) kitchen faucet is leaking under the cap that covers a black plastic part where the on/off lever attaches. I purchased and installed a new cartridge, but that didn't

Did you know Moen faucets are warranted for life? You should go to Moen's website to identify the faucet you have and then contact them directly. They will ask you when you purchased and / installed the faucet but will not ask for a receipt or other proof of purchase. If the faucet was installed by a previous owner and registered by them - that warranty will be void unless you installed the same faucet after you bought the home (renovation, etc.).

All parts and tech support are FREE from Moen and if your faucet is being phased out, they will offer you a choice of faucets from their current line up (similar to the one you have) for very short money (I paid less than $50 for mine).

Good luck!

Eljer Windsor One Piece Toilet help - leaks water into bowl

I would go back with the ballcock kind. However, the flapper will need to be replaced. It is not seating properly. The fluid master is a revised version and a bit more efficient. It should work well also. They both work off buoyancy and shuts off water the same way.

I installed a new ballcock assy and float. the toilet fills and shuts off but i can still hear an intermittant water flow. there were no instructions with the new valve so i dont know how to adjust.this is...

Without knowing what type of ballcock assembly you used I can't tell you how to adjust it. However there is one easy thing that you can check. If you have a plastic line going from the ballcock to fill/overflow in tank make sure that the bottom of that line is not below the water in the tank or it can create a siphon and make the water to run a small amount nostop. Hope this helps you. Have a good day and thank you.

Had a leaky Moen Posi-Temp shower faucet. Installed an Ace Hardware replacement cartridge. Fixed the leak, but now have a water hammer noise in the vicinity of the shower. Is this a common problem with...

I'm not aware of any problems with non moen replacement parts being the cause for a water hammer problem. Start with the simplest and cheapest correction which is using a moen replacement cartridge. If the water hammer persists then you may have to install a water hammer arrester in the plumbing system. This is basically a shock absorber in the plumbing system to stop the effect of water hammer. An arrester will cost you around $10 to $15 at your local plumbing supply shop. If you are not comfortable soldering copper then you will want to hire a licensed plumber to complete the work for you.

I had the same type of problem with an older toilet in my house. It developed a water hammer when it shut off after filling the tank. I replaced the fill valve with a generic universal replacement for about $10 and it stopped. Again sometimes the simplest fix will work. Let me know how it works out.
