How do I send Tascam DP-01FX recording tracks to computer for editing?
I have an audio editing program on my computer I would like to use instead of editing my recorded tracks using the DP-01FX. I have multiple tracks recorded on one "song" on the DP-01 and usually I would convert all individual tracks onto one stereo master track to then send to my computer. Instead of that, I need to edit each of the 6 or so individual tracks without first compiling them into a combined stereo master track. I suspect I will need to copy each of the six tracks into individual songs, master them and then send to my computer. That is a very tedious process I would like to avoid. Any suggestions how to do what I am talking about with less pain?

Press and hold down the "track edit" and the "shut down" buttons while turning the power on until it says "-init screen- please wait". It will ask you if you want to initialize hdd. If so press yes/enter. This Will wipe your hard drive clean. If no just press no/exit. This works on the dp-01fx. It should work on the dp-01 as well.

Alternatively you could load your stereo instrumental track into a wav editor, then export each stereo track as a separate mono wav file which you can transfer via usb into you DP-01 and then on you DP-01 import those wav files into two separate tracks which you can pan hard left and hard right so they are in stereo.
