I am looking for phones that will hoid incomming calls until answered and let me know I have calls waitting

Start with your phonte system. Some have ACD (automatic call distribution) and gates that play recorded messages and hold calls, or you can buy a call sequencer.

Here's an example of a two line unit http://www.vikingelectronics.com/products/pdf/tms-2.pdf

The third alternative for us cheapskates, is an add-on to a Partner ACS phone system called a ASR/DXD card. This unit is about $300 and plugs into a Partner ACS processor. It will answer an outside line, play a message, and put the call on hold where your recorded message or promotion feature of Music on Hold can play for the held call. Since the ACS is manufacturer discontinued as of next month (November) you can get some pretty good pricing on a complete system and the secondary market is filled with product.

Time and date on messages and cellphone are not the same

For SMS or MMS the received date and time is based on the mobile operator not with your mobile phone. try to use friend's other SIM card(Mobile network operator should be different than the one currently you have) and check.

Lucnet 18D my Display has NO ASA/DXD Card

Try rebooting the system. Because you tried to dial the ASA extension, it gave you that error. See if just rebooting the processor gets rid of it.

Partner 18 - voice mail greeting

Hi Smr. I ran into the same problem. I found out that ASA means auto answer. My phone guy said its rarely used anymore becuase autoattendant does so much more. you get the message when you enable (or in my case) access anything that needs the card. I did it by accident by hitting intercom 891.

I found a thread that suggested a system reset that worked ... and (I confirmed ion page 4-55 of my manual) it doesn't erase any settings ...but it does disconnect any calles in progress.

In case you don't have the manual here's the procedure (which I just did minutes ago)

hit "feature", "00" , then "#728"

Sit tight about 10 seconds and all should go back to normal.
email me if you have uestions or need a copy of the manual.

Upgrade firmware on a cisco ASA 5500 firewall

This is for the pixes, I haven't upgraded an asa yet...should be close or the same

* find latest version of code, these are usually *.bin files located on http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/pix
* confirm the flash and RAM requirements of the PIX OS software versus what the PIX has (”sho ver”)
* make sure you have a backup of the old PIX OS and PDM to the tftp server (or at least confirm the software is there)
Note: You cannot back them up from the PIX, so you will need to download them and put them on the tftp server * put in a change control form
* once change controls confirms date/time do the upgrade:
wri mem*** only if you save your configs via tftp wri net conf t ca save all copy tftp://your tftp server ip/pix635.bin flash:imageskip this if you don't use pdm copy tftp://your tftp server ip/pdm-304.bin flash:pdm *** if this is a failover pair, upgrade the other pair reboot
