Need help replacing handle on whirlpool microwave model MH1150XM

Any microwave can replace your existing microwave...most are fairly standard size for installing over a stove. Take a measurement of the opening your current microwave fits in and what the height of your microwave is. Take that to any appliance store and give them your measurements. They will definitely be able to help you.

The screws that hold on the handle are inside the door assembly. Here is the way its done but its not for the average person. On the inside of the door is a plastic frame all the way around the door. It is held in place by plastic tabs. You have to gently pry off that frame with something like a putty knife or small screw driver. If you are not careful you end up breaking off some of the tabs. Once that frame is off you should have access to the 2 screws holding on the handle. Remove screws---replace handle---and push plastic frame back on.

Replace Handle

Whirlpool MH1150XM-series models do not have convection cooking.

My Whirlpool/Roper microwave/hood combo has the same problem. I replaced the bulb twice, checked the bulb and it works, but not in the microwave. I wrote to Whirlpool asking about the problem. Haven't heard from them yet.

just did further testing...I stated incorrectly before, appears to be one/both relays for this light

We replaced the board behind the control panel. $130.00. If you do this make sure you can put the wires back the right way. My husband finally got it and our micro is working like brand newThanks to all who tried to help.

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screws you need to remove.
