Smart failure predicted on hard disk 0:TOSHIBA MK4025GAS-(PM) warning :immediately back-uo your data and replace your hard disk draiver A failure may be imminent

It means that your hard drive is going to crash soon. If all of your important stuff is on there and you don't have an external hard driver or flash driver, shut down the computer until you do. Once you own another hard drive, boot back up and start the backing up process. There is a fantastic free backup program available here: http://www.fbackup.com/

One trick I've found that works is placing the hard drive in a refrigerator for 30 mins before using it. This will extend it's life by at least 15 minutes.
Good luck to you, and pleas leave me a positive rating! :)

My laptop had a ''smart failure predicted on hard disk 0: toshiba mk4025gas-(pm) Warning: immediately back up your data and replace youre hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent'' what does this...

This means that your laptop's motherboard has detected that the hard drive (where all of your data and operating system live) is operating outside of normal parameters. Hard drives are supposed to read/write/respond within specific parameters. If the drive stops operating within these parameters, it usually means that the drive is failing, and therefore your information should be backed up, and your drive should be replaced. Once you back up your data, you can contact HP support to get the hard drive replaced.

Smart failure predicted on hard disk toshiba mk4025gas ( pm )

This means your hard drive is bad or about to go bad and needs to be replaced. If you can still access the drive, immediately back up anything important to you. You will then need to replace the hard drive. Thanks and please take a moment to rate this solution with a fixya rating, even if the news isn't what you wanted to hear. Thanks! :c)

1720-SMART HARD Drive detects immenent failure. What shall I Do?

Sounds like your hard drive is about to pack up. You can disable SMART for your hard drive in your CMOS setup. which will allow you to boot up your pc. I suggest you back-up all your data as soon as possible before the hard drive fails completely.

If you are still able to read from the drive, i would copy all of your important files off of it and replace with a new one.
