hi, if you have a device plugged into the telly that gives you the picture such as sky or cable then the best thing to do is disconnect this device from the back of your telly then switch the telly and this device off at the mains, then re-fit all the cables making sure they are connected properly then switch it all on.
now check if you have sound also make sure the tells is on the correct input for that decice and also make sure the mute button has not been pressed on the telly remote or on the remote of the device you use to watch telly, if after doing all that it still dont work then the chances are something has blown on the amp in the telly.
make sure you double check all the leads going into the telly to rule out a faulty lead causing you the problems

hi, if the ps3 was working fine on the other tv and you have not dropped it or anything like that then this would point towards their being a fault with the lead of the connection in the back of the telly.
what you should do is unplug it all again and refit all the leads in the back of the ps3 making sure they are pushed in far enough then plug the lead into the back of the telly making sure you push it in far enough, then switch the telly on and then switch the ps3 on if the telly dont change to the correct channel as soon as the ps3 comes on then you need to get the telly control and put the tv on the correct channel.
now depending on how many inputs the telly has would depend on how many times you press the button on the control, the button you need to press is going to be on of the following its either av, input, source, ext, aux, or a picture of a rectangle with an arrow running from left to right, now once you have found this button make sure your ps3 is on with a game in then press the button on the tv remote then wait couple of seconds it may say something like av1 on the telly if this dont show the ps3 then press it again it should then go to av2 and keep going until you see the game on the ps3 you need to keep going until your telly is on the right input channel. once you have done this your ps3 should be working again.
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
hi, you can try unplugging the lead from your telly and also from your xbox then with your xbox switched off at mains plug them back in make sure you push it into the telly far enough as this could be your problem also make sure its fitted in xbox properly the problem is usually the telly end so make sure this is fitted correctly, then switch it on and see if it is now working, if it isnt then the chances are your going to need a new lead, if the problem was with the xbox then you would have no sound as well so the problem points towards the lead being at fault.
Also make sure the telly is on the correct channel
hi, are you using the scart lead fitting from the play station into the telly if you are then make sure the scart lead is pushed in all the way on the back of the telly as if its slightly out you wont get any signal. If your using the scart lead then make sure the playstation is switched on and all the leads are in properly then you need to get your telly remote and press either the AV or source button if your remote dont have source button or av button then you need to look for a button that has a picture of a square with an arrow running through it. Now make sure the playstation is on then start pressing the button on the remote you may need to press it two or three times till its on the right av channel.
If how ever you are using the three colored leads and plugging them into the back of your telly then you may find that this might not work but its the same as the scart lead so try pressing the same button on the remote and see what happens. if you have no luck with the three colored wires then you may need to buy a converter that converts the three colors into a scart lead you can buy these of an auction site or from any electrical or gaming shop, they cost next to nothing to buy.
Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
I am a sky engineer (not a subby)
the reason this does not come on straight away is because a Scart lead send power upto your telly when it is turned on. Telling the telly that this is what you want.
Unfortunately HDMI does not send power upto the telly. There are ways around this. ON Samsung, Panasonic and Lg tellys you can go into a secret menu and apply something called HOTEL MODE this allows you to change the av input so it would automatically come on your hdmi 1,2,3, etc
In your case follow my instructions below
go to the hdmi you are using for your Hd
on the sky remote
Press SELECT and GREEN until LED flashes twice.
Press HELP then SELECT and the LED will flash Twice. what this mean is when you press your Sky button, tv guide, services or interactive button to turn the sky on this will automatically change your av/source on your telly to the sky HD for you
Hi. is the lead from mega drive a rf socket that goes into the arial socket on the telly and does the lead have a switch on it?
Plug the rf lead from md into areial socket on telly then put telly on channel you dont use i used 0 or 9 but use any. then turn mega drive on then press setup on tv enter channel settup then you need to go through the procedure of tuning channel in its best doing it manualy its like when you tune a channel in make sure md is on then keep changing the frequency one way or the other could take few minutes then when you get it on the telly save this setting on the channel you want to use ok.
If it dont work then the chances are the lead is damaged this is often the case with these consoles as the are not made that well so if no good then replace if necesarry.
If your unsure on tuning your telly then give me make and model then i can talk you through the process ok
i can tell you the best way but i need to know what your using ie scart leads things like that also tell me how many scart sockets in telly and in dvd and sky and vcr after you give me this info il tell you what needs pluggging into what basing it on your telly has 2 scart if not let me know ok 1. dvd to telly via scart lead 2. then sky to vcr via scart doing it this way allows you to record sky using av channel on vcr 3. vcr to telly via scart lead then if you want your video to record normal telly channels you need to use normal arial leads in this order 1. from arial to vcr then from vcr to telly doin this allows you to record the channels you get through the arial like 1 2 3 4 5 also this way when you choose 1 or 2 or 3 on video it will record that channel allowing you to watch whatever on sky whilst recording normal telly If your telly only has one scart socket in the back then you need to buy a scart adaptor that converts one scart socket into 2 or even let me know if you understand what im telling you or if you need further help ok just let me know im going out for 2 hours but will check your reply then so hope you dont mind waiting if you need help ok
I read in the manual for the Sony KDF 50E3000 that you should use warm soapy water on a clean cloth if you aren't able to remove it with a dry cloth. I find that the microfiber cloths work best.
