Setting the codes for the door chime

Presuming that you are asking how to set codes for the Desa International door chime, here's a solution:

There are two components of the Desa door chime --- the ringer assembly and the door button. Inside each component is a set of eight pairs of pins and several square-ish plastic jumpers. To set a code, you must push jumpers onto the pair of pins for each of three different numbers. (You may find that you have more than three jumpers. If so, the others are spares which you can tell because they will only be covering one of the two pins in a pair.) Whatever three numbers you choose, the ringer and button must match exactly. 5-6-7 seems to be the default set-up as delivered from the factory. This is only a problem if anyone else in the neighborhood also has a Desa chime with this setting. If you use pin 8, the ring changes from a two-tone chime to a 16-note sequence.

Good luck!

The webpage http://www.dimango.com/dc-cd-quality-doorbells.htm

shows:

Model RC4300

No longer do you need a wired door chime or traditional doorbell with brass tubing to get amazing, rich sound. Our Battery Operated Door Chime from Dimango has CD quality sound while remaining completely wireless...

  • Plays three selectable sounds

    1. Ding Dong

    2. Dong

    3. Westminster Chime Click To Hear Sound!

  • Set sound conveniently at button

It seems that there is a button on the receiver/speaker. Try press once and see if the sound changes.

How do I change the chime on my HPM wireless door chime? The sound of birds chirping is driving me nuts!

Taking the battery out and putting in back in will reset to a simple DingDong chime. It should be possible to put the doorbell in a mode that allows buttoning through each of the tunes.

I need instructions on how to use and program a nutone door chime. Mine is a musical style for front door. I can change the chime to many different sounds, but have no instructions on how to use or program...

The 515N number is a transformer part number, do you have a photo of the chime you have? Is it wired or wireless? Is it a newer chime or and older model? Check Nutone's website to see what model you have, then search their site for the model you have. The model page will have an instruction sheet PDF file download of the instructions.
