Check the 2 switches first. The start switch and the kill switch. If not there then check the stator. Get specs from oem and use a multimeter. Very simple check. Sounds like the small trigger coil could be your problem.

SOURCE: peg-perego John Deere buck EXT reads fully charged, but won't go.

I would replace the high/low switch and the reverse switch.
You can get the peg perego parts at http://www.shopjandl.com/
but I would first check the connections on the motors and foot switch. Sometimes they come loose.
Hope this helps

Have John Deere Buck 500 ATV . Can I change differential on rear end to only have 2 wheel drive

You can just remove the gears inside the differential and the drive shaft. Not sure you would want to do that though, it is much better to have 4 wheel drive on an ATV.

The listing says is it 2 wheel drive!!

My 650 trail buck acts like it's not getting fuel when hot. It also backfires.

Back firing is usually a lean fuel mixture caused by partially blocked jets or badly adjusted idle screw

Where is the fuse box on a 2005 John Deere trail buck 500 please send me a text ************

Go to upstateoutdoorpowerequipment.com. there you can get illustrated parts diagrams for your mower. You may have to look up the motor type which should be on a plate on the motor itself or you may have to look up your mower brand and year. Though I don't think it'll have a fuse box. There usually is a fuse under the hood close to the firewall somewhere.

I have a john deere 500 buck atv when it gets hot shuts down and takes forever to get it started back

Take the coil and have it tested. Sounds like when the coil get warmed up it brakes down the secondary field. If you have a good none coil swap it out and see what happens. Also when it does this next time you are riding it pull the spark plug boot off and use a good spark plug grounded against the engine and see if you have spark.
