Ipod stops while playing every couple of minutes. I purchased 23.7.09 todays date is 29.7.09. Not even wk old. Last night while listening before sleep every couple on minutes unit would switch off. The sleep timer was not set. I had to unlock and press play again. This happened 8/9 times before i got sick of it and went to sleep. Unit is nearly fully charged. It has done it also this morning I restarted and got on website. Any help greatly appreciated. Kind regards Jody

Take it to the Apple store first. Only if you're not under warranty you can try a firmware restore. If that doesn't help it's a hardware issue with your logic board. The logic board can be replaced by a tech savy user and the part is available on common auction websites. There areipod nano 4th gen Repair guides that show you how to do the replacement step by step.

You should take the simplest route and return the unit to the retailer. Something is wrong inside that unit, and you won't be able to fix it with simple troubleshooting. Anytime a piece of electronics is shutting off by itself, it needs to be repaired. Return the unit to the retailer and get a new one.

My ipod touch will not play in shuffle mode plays a couple of tracks then stops

you might have reset to shuffle again

The iPod's shuffle feature lets you randomize playback of albums, songs or even your entire music library. You may also find this feature useful if you want to listen to forgotten tracks in your library or discover songs you haven't listened to yet. Disabling the shuffle feature will return playback of a song list to its standard consecutive order. You can enable and disable the shuffle feature at any time.

Navigate to the main menu. Select "Settings." Scroll to the "Shuffle" option. Select "Songs" or "Albums." If you select "Songs," the iPod Classic will shuffle the songs on whatever song list you listen to. If you select "Albums," the iPod Classic will play all songs of an album you select in order and then randomly select another album. Navigate to the playlist or album to which you want to listen. Play a song to initiate the shuffle. b> iPod Nano and iPod Touch Tap the "Songs" icon on your nano home screen. If you are using an iPod Touch, open the "iPod" application. Navigate to the song list, playlist or album you want to play. Tap the "Shuffle" icon at the top of the list to activate the feature.

I have a insignia CD/DVD iPod Dock player, NS-ES6111. When it plays a CD after a couple of minutes it stops playing. Have changed CDs, still does it. Have reset the system and continues to stop playing.

If you've also power-cycled the unit (turn it off and unplug it for several minutes) and the problem still persists, repairs will likely be required. Service can be obtained by carrying the unit in to the place of purchase.
