Can you hear the drain solenoid activate when it advances to the drain cycle? If you can hear it open, then the circuit is functioning on the control side, if water does not drain out, then the drain valve is clogged.

SOURCE: maytag dishwasher mdb9600awb - loud pump

This has happened a few times to me as well.(VERY VERY LOUD NOISE AT THE BOTTOM)I have the same model It did stop.I did a little reading and came to the conclusion that it was the built in food disposer chopping blades were chopping up something like a cherry pit or peach pit and once an end of a wooden spoon that dropped down.If you look at your USE and care Guide on page 12 under trouble shooting "Dishwasher seems noisy"..I went through the same thing taking things apart. Its got to be it. Mine is 2 1/2 years as well. Hope this helps. [email protected]

If it is not filling enough, you may need a new water valve. It may be plugged.

SOURCE: dishwasher will not pump water out.

you need to get a tester to the drain pump terminals. if power is there on drain cycle, then remove pump and check. if pump runs or is not faulty, check the area close to the pump for blockage

So frustrated - LG dishwasher washes 5 minutes then shows OE code - have cleaned drains, sump pump, out let pipes. Still doing it. ONly 9 months old..... My old dishwasher worked for 10 years.......

Hi there Diane OE on your display relates to the water draining system (water is not pumped away). the diashwasher is not seeing the water drain away. Dishwashers start by draining before they take on fresh water. Start your dishwasher and listen for a pumping noise from the waste pump if you dont hear any noise it may be the pump is blocked or faulty. please advise if this helps kind regards gary.

Our LG is only a couple years old and was very quiet at first. It has started making a very loud groaning noise when the water is spraying. Is it a pump going out?

Hi

In Australia I have seen similar problems with some recent models of LG dishwashers. Not sure if the ones sold in the US are any different.
One common problem I have seen with LG wash pumps from dishwashers which were sold 2-4 years ago, is that the motor becomes noisy after some time. The replacement motors which I have ordered is a different one and therefore revised as the predesessor was not reliable. The replacement motor has a different mounting bracket as well.
They are fairly cheap, but to change them is very difficult. Best to get a repairer as the machine needs to be thoroughly dismantled to allow you to get to the wash pump.

Dishwasher will no longer drain completely

The pump is bad and needs to be replaced. The pump is not pumping out all the water from the system

Strange noise when using the dishwasher

The sound may generate form inlet Solenoid. It may come from water pump also. Check inlet water flow also for proper pressure.

My Lg Dishwasher , model 12aw2 , has an error message OE shortly after start up , dishwasher is over 6 years old , is this a simple fault to repair? or not worth it ?

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

LG themselves have some information on this error code..

Dishwasher will not go into wash cycle.

On the LG LDF6810 dishwasher, the best you can do is remove the bottom spray arm and then the 10 phillips screws that hold the filter down.
Pull the filter out and clean it as best you can.
Inspect the sump area beneath where the filter was. Be careful of broken glass and remove all debris. Use a flashlight and look into every little spot down there. Reassemble the dishwasher and operate your DW.
If you still have problems, I recommend a service call. Check your manual to confirm but most LG dishwashers have a 1 year parts & labor plus a 2 year parts only. Have your proof of purchase ready.

LG dishwasher doesn't heat water

I had the same issue with my LDF7811 about 2 years into its life. I replaced the heating element and that took care of it. Not a terribly difficult job, but it will require removal of the dishwasher and dismantling it from the underneath.
