More info on pg. 83 of manual.

PS - as this is a home hi-fi and not a car-radio, I've moved it from 'Cars & Trucks' to a new home 'Audio Players../Pioneer', where experts in that field can offer more help.

SOURCE: connecting 2 stereo amplifiers using one as a preamp and the other as a booster

I would take from the tape out of the pioneer and feed into the aux input of the marantz you will then have to adjust the volume levels on each amp as required

SOURCE: Pioneer VSX-505S Subwoofer Installation

That type of subwoofer is not used with this receiver. This receiver actually outputs no power for a subwoofer, therefore only needs a plain ol' rca signal wire. This is due to the fact that you need a powered sub... one that you plug in to the wall and it has its own built in amp. you simply run an rca from yyour 505s to that sub.

If you have just one pair of speakers hooked up and have both A & B speakers selected you won't get ANY sound out of unit, so check that?

SOURCE: Pioneer vsx-d902s

Hi Tracey

Most of these older machine had speaker switches on the front panel. Can you check what they are set to. It may be that both switches(A and B) are set in, or set out. this could present the problem you are having with no sound. turn on just one switch that corresponds the connections you have made on the rear (use speaker A) Another thing to check, is when you first turn on the amp, do you hear a relay click shortly after you switch on. If you don't hear this delayed click, then there may well be a problem in the output stages of the amp. If this is the case, then you will need to take it to a tech to have a look and see what has failed in the amp. Hope this info helps, if you have any questions, I am happy to try and help you further.

regards
robotek

SOURCE: pioneer vsx-519 no sound from center and surround

Make sure that the sound field/programme you have selected is dolby digital not stereo.(On the amp)
You also need to check on the display that is says DIGITAL not ANOLOUGE, as only a digital input, Optical fibre cable, HDMI, COAX will be a digital signal.
If you are using red and white rca connectors, it is not going to work, as this is an Anolouge signal.

Dear Sirs, I have a Pioneer AV Receiver model VSX-817 and is connected to Monitor Audio Speakers (Fronts: BR5, Center: BR-LCR, Rears: BR1), Sub: MS309 (Mordaunt Short). I have connected each front...

Did you remember to remove the shorting link on the MA BR5 speaker terminal ..When you biwire the speakers you should remember to loosen the speaker terminal nuts and remove the shorting link plate between the HF and the LF terminals or you will short the amplifiers two channels together through the link. And modern amplifiers will take a lot of abuse at low volumes but at high volumes the protection circuit will turn off the device.

Pioneer receiver vsx-d510 sub not working

Rear Surrounds are not supported on this unit, they would be the 6th and 7th channels in a 7.1 rig. I think you mean Surrounds (channels 4 and 5 in a 5.1 rig).

Lets ponder: How is there any relationship between Surrounds and your separately-amplified Subwoofer? I don't see it, unless you inadvertently chose OFF for the Sub definition when you were in the Speaker selection menus adding the Surrounds. Look again.

Pioneer VSX-815 speaker wiring

You can hook them up either way, the banana jacks are good for hooking two speakers to one terminal (ie one through the botton, one banana) but the electrical connection is the same either way. Sometimes the banana capable jacks are on speakers A and speakers B, and the surround don't accept banana plugs, your stuck with how your reciever is wired.
