This light sequence typically means there is no signal coming from the computer. You can verify by trying the monitor on another computer or trying a different monitor that is known to work on this computer.
The camera just assigns names in numerical order (IMG1234, DSC5678, etc.). If you delete pictures or transfer some to your computer and leave gaps in the sequence, the camera will reuse the names. So your photos are out of sequence based on the filenames.
The easiest solution is to not let pictures accumulate in the camera. It's not a safe thing to anyway, since if something happens to the camera or its memory card you will lose all your pictures. When you finish shooting a bunch, upload them to your computer so you can file them. Change the names to something more meaningful than the simple camera-assigned number. Put them into folders so you can find all your trip to the beach photos easily. THEN BACK THEM UP ONTO A CD!!
If you have a whole bunch of pictures in the camera already and they are mixed up, you can upload them to your computer and use the software that came with the camera to organize them by photo date. You can also download applications such as Picasa to do it.

The DPF-80 has now way to sequence pics. The only way for them to play in an order is add them one at a time to the frame via the computer. The files can not be batch sent, such as sending a whole folder at one time. Windows will dictate the order in which they are transfered if you do it that way. Transfer one pic at a time. Tedious, but it works
