The amount is also programmable and just about the only way to get the same amount is to program both to deliver the same amount. The unit has a flow meter to accurately measure the amount of water going to the espresso. Try the program function to reset the amount for single and double.

The Japanese measuring cup size of 200 ml works fine for my Hitachi RD-5083 and likely will work for most rice cookers. The standard US cup is 237 ml.
