The pilot light went out in the dryer but I have never worked on them how do I relight the pilot. It is an older machine
My friend it’s a dryer and never had a pilot light in the beginning you should have a igniter the glows then releases the gas that’s working properly if you never work on gas you should have somebody with experience look at it before you blow yourself up
There is normally a button you have to hold in until the thermocouple takes over- about 30 seconds after you light it.
THe "button"may be in the form of a KNOB with an indicator

Could be moisture in the gas supply line - get your gas fitter to purge the line at the meter.

The main burner valve is the oven valve. The pilot will be next to the burner and you either have to insert a long shiskabob stick ( lit) into the hole or lift up on the bottom of the oven (inside) and you will see the pilot.
SOURCE: Pilot light does not stay on.
Be sure to keep the button pushed for 45 seconds AFTER lighting the pilot. If the pilot continues to go out, the problem is most likely the thermocouple. A replacement thermocouple can be purchased at the local hardware store for under $20.00.
